FC Pro Mobile Launches First Global LAN With $100,000 Bangkok Playoffs

EA Sports FC Mobile has reached a major competitive milestone with the FC Pro Mobile 2026 Mid-Season Playoffs in Bangkok, Thailand.

The event runs from August 6 to 9 at Kantana Post Production Studio and brings together 24 players from across the global FC Mobile ecosystem. They are competing for a $100,000 prize pool and, more importantly, eight direct qualification spots for the inaugural FC Pro Mobile World Championship later this year.

This is the first international in-person event of the FC Pro Mobile 2026 season, giving EA’s mobile football title its first major global LAN under the FC Pro structure.

24 Players Meet on FC Mobile’s First Global Stage

The Bangkok tournament brings together competitors who qualified through several different routes rather than relying on a single global qualifier.

Players have arrived from regional qualifiers, domestic competitions and publisher-backed leagues across Asia, Europe, the Americas and other territories. The structure is intended to create a global pathway while maintaining regional representation.

Among the competitors are representatives connected to organisations including FaZe Clan, Buriram United Esports, EVOS Esports and Team Solid, alongside a substantial number of free agents.

The event’s headline details are:

Two players originally expected to represent the Middle East and Africa region were unable to attend because of passport and visa issues.

Bangkok represents the first time FC Pro Mobile has brought its international competitive ecosystem together for a dedicated global offline tournament.

Group Stage Cuts the Field From 24 to Eight

The Mid-Season Playoffs begin with four groups containing six competitors each.

Every player faces the other five members of their group once, with each matchup consisting of two games. Points are awarded separately for each game: three for a victory, one for a draw and none for a defeat. Extra time and penalties are not used during this stage.

Only the top two players from each group advance, meaning two-thirds of the original field are eliminated before the playoff bracket.

Ties in the group standings are separated through criteria beginning with head-to-head points and goal difference before moving to overall statistics.

The format rewards consistency because a poor result cannot simply be erased by winning one decisive match. Players need to accumulate points across an entire round-robin schedule.

Reaching the Playoffs Also Secures Worlds

The most important threshold in Bangkok is making the final eight.

Every player who reaches the single-elimination playoffs automatically qualifies for the FC Pro Mobile World Championship. That means the final round of group-stage games effectively doubles as a qualification battle for the biggest tournament of the season.

Once the eight-player field is decided, the competition changes completely.

The quarterfinals and semifinals use best-of-five series before the Grand Final expands to best-of-seven. Unlike the group stage, those matches are elimination series, so one defeat ends a player’s Bangkok campaign.

The prize distribution provides another incentive:

• Runner-up earns $20,000
• Semifinalists receive $8,000 each
• Quarterfinalists receive $4,500 each

Players finishing ninth through 12th receive $1,000, while the remaining competitors leave without prize money.

The champion will be decided on August 9.

Bangkok Is a Checkpoint Before the Seoul World Championship

The Mid-Season Playoffs are not the final destination of FC Pro Mobile’s inaugural international season.

The FC Pro Mobile World Championship will take place in Seoul, South Korea, from October 21 to 25. The season finale will feature 32 players and a $250,000 prize pool.

Eight of those 32 players will come directly from the Bangkok playoffs.

That gives the Mid-Season event considerable strategic importance. A player who reaches the quarterfinals does not merely secure prize money but removes the need to qualify through another route later in the season.

The Seoul tournament will also crown the first official FC Pro Mobile World Champion, making 2026 a foundational year for EA’s attempt to establish the mobile version alongside its existing FC Pro competition.

FC Mobile Expands EA’s Competitive Football Ecosystem

EA Sports has spent years developing an esports structure around its console football titles, but FC Mobile now has a distinct international circuit.

The qualification system is particularly important because mobile esports audiences differ considerably by region. Markets across Southeast Asia, East Asia and Latin America have large mobile gaming communities, while the Bangkok field also includes players from Europe and other regions.

Creating global events gives those regional scenes a common competitive endpoint.

The presence of established esports organisations alongside free agents also shows the ecosystem is still developing. Some players already compete with major teams behind them, while others can use international results as an opportunity to attract organisations.

The FC Pro Mobile Mid-Season Playoffs are more significant than the $100,000 prize pool alone suggests.

Bangkok is the first real test of whether EA can turn its regional FC Mobile competitions into a coherent global esports ecosystem. Bringing 24 players from multiple qualification routes onto one LAN provides a benchmark that online regional results cannot offer.

The top-eight qualification system also makes the group stage unusually important. Reaching the playoffs immediately guarantees a World Championship ticket, while missing the cut means another route to Seoul will be required.

FC Mobile still has significant ground to cover before its international scene reaches the maturity of established mobile esports. However, a dedicated global LAN followed by a 32-player World Championship gives the circuit a clear competitive structure.

By the end of August 9, FC Pro Mobile will have its first international event winner and its first eight confirmed competitors for the inaugural World Championship.
