FaZe Clan bolster its Halo Infinite roster with huge changes ahead of NA Online Super. The organization acquired veteran players, Jonathan “Renegade” Willette and Tyler “Spartan” Ganza, adding more experience and firepower to the lineup.

Since the onset of the second split of the Pro Series, rumors have been swirling regarding Renegade and Spartan’s possible positions in the HCS. Renegade was notably absent from the C9 starting lineup throughout the split, while Spartan had been on the sidelines since his self-imposed benching in May. However, FaZe Clan confirmed the rumors today, welcoming Renegade and Spartan to replace Jesse “bubu dubu” Moeller and Adam “Bound” Gray.

Both the new addition have proved themself as competent HALO players after posting phenomenal performances for their former teams. Renegade was regarded as the C9’s star player, who boosted the team’s performance and helped them win back-to-back tournaments in Raleigh and Anaheim. Prior to his benching, Spartan also helped eUnited achieve remarkable success by playing a vital role in the team’s recurrent top four finishes in LAN competitions.

The signings put Adam “Bound” Gray in a substitute role on the bench, with Gray also reportedly planning to move amid roster reorganization. With the official departure of Renegade from Cloud9, Bound is expected to take a more permanent position on C9 before the upcoming NA Online Super, considering how effectively he served as a stand-in for Renegade throughout the split.

  • Eric “Snip3down” Wrona
  • Jonathan “Renegade” Willette
  • Tyler “Spartan” Ganza
  • Adam “Bound” Gray (substitute)

Spartan is no longer bound to the eUnited bench

While eUnited’s placings in major tournaments continued to amaze fans, Spartan noted how they were slowly getting worse every tournament. Following their fourth-place finish at Kansas City in April, Spartan claimed many teams were willing to buy him out of his contract, but eUnited intended to hold him until the contract ends. He added that eUnited reduced his pay from $5300 to $300 per month. However, Spartan decided to sit on the sidelines rather than play for the roster under the circumstances.
