FaZe Clan teams up with Disney

FaZe Clan announced a year-long apparel collaboration with the entertainment powerhouse Disney. As a result of the year-long collaboration, FaZe and Disney will introduce a new version of the iconic Disney character Mickey Mouse. 

The North American esports and entertainment organization isn’t known only for its esports achievements, but also for the creative promotion of the brand. The company previously collaborated with brands like Kappa, Clot, Casio, and DC, and even released an apparel collection dedicated to Naruto Shippuden.

Mickey On The Grid

According to the announcement, FaZe Clan’s next major collaboration will be with the entertainment giant Disney and will last for one year. The main product of this partnership is a “tech-vamped” adaptation of Mickey Mouse called “Mickey On The Grid”.

The Mickey On The Grid capsule collection is expected to include t-shirts, sweatshirts and hats with glow-in-the-dark embroidery and twill appliqué patches. The collection was designed by FaZe Clan’s Lead Designer James Casper Vine and its Creative Director Jay “JVY” Richardson, along with Disney creative team. 

Richardson spoke on the announcement: 

“This year-long collaboration is a part of our ongoing expansion into retail and consumer products. We are beyond proud to collaborate with Disney on this special ‘Mickey On The Grid’ capsule collection. It’s extra meaningful both for our talent and our fans to drop this on FaZe Clan’s 12th anniversary.” 

FaZe’s commercial success

As one of the most mainstream-ready esports organizations, FaZe Clan has significantly increased its presence in the lifestyle sector in recent months, with the Disney deal being just the latest in a string of announcements made in 2022.

Besides the Naruto Shippuden collection, the organization also recently created a limited edition of FaZe gaming keyboard with Ducky and announced the launch of its gaming lounge and retail pop-up store in Los Angeles named The Armory.

Moreover, the organization added the music legend, Snoop Dogg, as a board member, and became the world’s first publicly traded esports organization. FaZe is not behind in the esports department either, as its CS:GO line-up won the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 just a few days ago.

At this point, the commercial success of FaZe Clan can’t be denied as their unique collaborations seem to be successful in attracting people and turning them into fans.
