Even the commentators could hardly believe what they were witnessing.
Another round, another collapse – Falcons Esports once again found a way to lose a seemingly impossible-to-lose situation. On Mirage, Aurora, led by the Turkish duo Özgür “woxic” Eker and Caner “soulfly” Kesici, pulled off a stunning 2v5 clutch that left both fans and casters in disbelief.
The moment came with the score at 7-8. Falcons had full control of the A site, a five-versus-two advantage, and every reason to slow the round down and close it cleanly. Instead, hesitation and passivity opened the door – and Aurora walked straight through it.
“You’d have to play this completely wrong,” remarked Alex Richardson moments before the disaster unfolded. “It’s a 2v5. You should never lose this. Even by their standards.”
Soulfly was the first to capitalize, finding crucial gaps in the Falcons’ setup and turning the round chaotic. That chaos set the stage for woxic. Left alone in a 1v3, the AWP star stayed ice-cold, systematically picking off the remaining Falcons players one by one to complete the impossible clutch.
The English broadcast didn’t hold back.
“How does this keep happening?” shouted Chad Burchill after the final kill – a reaction that perfectly captured Falcons’ growing reputation for throwing won rounds.
Despite the monumental misplay, Falcons managed to regroup and edge out Mirage 13-10. Aurora, however, had the last laugh. The team took the third and deciding map to secure a 2-1 series victory, turning a single unforgettable moment into a match-defining statement.
