T1 gets another chance to immortalize their legacy. Fresh off their historic back-to-back World Championship victory, T1 has revealed their choices of champions for the commemorative League of Legends Worlds 2024 skins.
Fans can expect these in-game items to release around September or October 25, ahead of the next season’s Worlds tournament.
A Second Worlds Championship Skin Set for ZOFGK
T1 grabbed their fifth Worlds title with an incredible 3-2 win over Bilibili Gaming in the Grand Finals this Sunday, November 2. As it has always been, the winning roster gets the privilege to get a custom skin line dedicated to their achievement.
While T1 as an organization can count this as their fifth time getting these special skins, for the legendary ZOFGK, it would only be the second. The roster of Choi “Zeus” Wooje, Mun “Oner” Hyeonjun, Lee “Faker” Sanghyeok, Lee “Gumayusi” Minhyung, and Ryu “Keria” Minseok lifted their very first Summoner’s Cup last year. Their T1 Worlds 2023 skins feature the champions Jayce (Zeus), Lee Sin (Oner), Orianna (Faker), Jinx (Gumayusi), and Bard (Keria).
While the T1 players haven’t fully decided on their League of Legends Worlds 2024 skins yet, they’ve shared their current list of choices in their post-championship press conference.
T1’s Early Picks
Champions that T1 are highly considering consists of their most-played characters and those that brought them wins in their deciding series versus BLG.
For Zeus, he is weighing his options between Gragas, Camille, and Ornn. Gragas is his most played champion along with Jax in both Swiss and Knockouts while also being his pick in their victorious Grand Final Game 5. Ornn, who Zeus played for the first time in Game 2 of the finals as well, was an amazing pick that got them to retaliate incredibly well against BLG’s Game 1 stomp.
T1’s jungler, Oner, has narrowed his choices down to two: Vi and Xin Zhao. Oner has shown out with his Vi picks all throughout Worlds 2024, especially with his highlight Baron steal against G2 Esports in the Swiss Stage. Meanwhile, despite only picking Xin Zhao twice, his performance in Game 2 of the quarterfinals against Top Esports as well as in Game 5 of the finals versus BLG were crucial to both victories.
Faker, who is bound to get two Worlds skins, prefers to ponder over his choices a little longer. After being named Finals MVP, Faker’s chosen champion will receive the regular and an additional Prestige Edition skin. Faker admitted that he hasn’t thought about it much yet, and wants to choose a champion that “fans might like”. The mid lane legend might find Sylas or Ahri the most prevalent among fan picks, making the possibility for these champions to get the skins higher.
AD carry Gumayusi faces an interesting dilemma. His main choices are Jhin and Varus, both which he has impressive performances on. However, he mentioned that Jhin already has two Worlds skins (SKT T1 and DWG), while he doesn’t particularly feel an attachment to Varus. Additionally, he said that he might base his decision on his support, Keria’s champion choice, not wanting to pick Xayah unless Keria selects Rakan.
While Keria named Pyke and Renata Glasc his top choices in the press conference, he added another champion, Neeko, when he put up a poll on his Instagram story. He only played Pyke twice in the tournament, but his plays on the champion were one of the best game-changers for T1. Renata Glasc, who was Keria’s most-played, also allowed him to make the most impactful performances, especially in their Semifinal against Gen.G and Final Game 4 against BLG.

It’s worth noting that the selections T1 made aren’t final, and the members may change their minds during the development process. It also depends on other factors whether Riot Games may be able to grant T1’s requests for their selected champion’s skins.
