Excel Esports is on the verge of becoming the latest organization to join the VALORANT scene, with rumours suggesting that they will build their team around former G2 Esports star David “Davidp” Prins. Despite still being under contract with G2, the Belgian is able to speak to other organizations following his benching at the end of last year.

Who Will Make Up the Excel Esports VALORANT Lineup?

European org Excel has yet to feature in VALORANT, however they not look set to make their entry with an international roster. If speculation is to be believed, Morgan “B1GGY” Madour, Harry “DPS” MacGill and Danila “Sunset” Soloviov have already signed on the dotted line with Excel, while Oscar “ozzy” Scott is to become the fifth and final player on the new look roster. B1GGY, DPS and Sunset all made their name in CS:GO, while ozzy will join VALORANT from Apex Legends.

27-year-old B1GGY was handed a 7 month ban from all ESIC events in September last year, due to his role in the coach spectating bug during his spell with Team Heretics. Meanwhile, Brit DPS has already competed under the banner of ROYALS, Rix.GG and Almost International during his time in VALORANT, while he was also part of the Team Ardiis lineup that won the G2 Valorant Showdown in December.

Why Excel Snapped Up Davidp from G2 Esports

Many of the potential lineup have already played support roles with Omen and Brimstone, while DPS is likely to take on the role of Sova. Davidp is undoubtedly the player with the most experience, with the 26-year-old having won a host of VALORANT events during his time with G2, including the BLAST Twitch Invitational and WePlay! Invitational in 2020.
However, with all of the players linked to Excel having good experience in the VALORANT scene, it could well be that the organization is able to make a significnat impact from the outset. The team could well feature in the upcoming VALORANT Tour competition, with the best of one format potentially providng the chance for Excel to cause some upsets.
