British Esports organization Excel has seemingly added further players to its VALORANT roster, with Vincent “Happy” Cervoni Schopenhauer, Morgan “BIGGY” Madour, Alend “Ale” Khalaf and Marc “Honeybee” Begley having all reportedly joined David “Davidp” Prins on the team. With the VCT Europe Qualifying second stage getting underway next month, an official announcement is expected soon rather than later.

This is because the rumored lineup already appears on the VALORANT Champions Tour website, with the news having been broken by 1PVCS’ neL. Excel has been hosting trials in an attempt to complete its first VALORANT roster, having prioritized finding a team captain and coaching group in order to give themselves the best possible chance of competing at the highest level.

Why Excel Took in Finalizing Its VALORANT Roster

Trials undertaken by the organization saw hopefuls undergo by performance and personality tests, with Excel being keen on finding those that fit in with their ethos and “competitive goals”. According to Excel co-founder, Kieran Holmes Darby, the org is looking to unearth the best talent in order to create a “lasting legacy”.

Belgian Davidp is the only confirmed member of the team to date, with the former CS:GO pro having began his VALORANT career with G2 Esports, before being benched at the beginning of March this year. Davidp won A-Tier events including the BLAST Twitch Invitational and WePlay! Invitational during his time with G2. However, with the team having finished 3rd-4th at the First Strike Europe event, the org decided to make changes, which turned out to be good news for Excel.

When Will We See Excel in Action?

The additions of former Giants Gaming, Team LDLC and Team Envy CS:GO pro, Happy, would certainly be a major boost for Excel. However, it remains to be seen as to whether the other members of the roster have what it takes to propel Excel to the top of the European scene. Excel is expected to make its VALORANT debut at stage two of the VCT 2021 Europe Qualifiers, which get underway on April 10.
