Excel Esports Rebrands to The Power of Better

Leading British Esports organization Excel Esports has undergone a rebrand, which has seen them change its design and goals. The rebrand will also see the organization compete in both League of Legends and Fortnite, steering away from its more conventional path in the process.

The rebrand comes as Excel aim to highlight their evolution as an organization, which was founded back in 2014. The mantra “The Power of Better” centers around improvement across the board, as well as spreading positivity within the Esports and gaming community.

What the Rebrand Means for Excel Esports

According to the release, the new visual update is designed to highlight EXCEL’s evolution as an esports organisation since launching in 2014. Moreover, its Power of Better mantra has been described as a “commitment to improve in everything it does” whilst also provding a positive impact on the esports and gaming community.

Speaking upon the Excel rebrand, Excel Esports CEO Wouter Sleijffers stated:

“Today, we will start our journey of The Power of Better with passion, professionalism, performance and purpose. This is more than just a brand update. Excel promises to be better every day and make our contribution to the future of competitive gaming.”

Fabian Broich, Head of Performance and Sports Psychology, is the brains behind the organizations “Gaming for Better” series, which aims to address issues surrounding injuries, lifestyle and physical activity. Excel also showed off a series of new designs and a new logo, which embodies their new forward-thinking approach.

A press release created by Kieran Holmes-Darby, Co-Founder and Chief Gaming Officer at Excel, made it clear as to just how enthusiastic the organization are about the future: “Over the last six years, Excel Esports has seen immense growth, transforming from a bedroom hobby into a professional competitive gaming brand with players competing in the world’s biggest esports.” Kieran said. “When Excel was founded we wanted our identity to be motivational, competitive, and allow people to easily support us in-game with the XL tag.”
