Former Counter-Strike player Jarosław “pashaBiceps” Jarząbkowski made his MMA debut last night, February 5th. Fans cheered the legendary player on Twitter and supported him with the hashtag #TeamPapito. Although it was his first fight, the professional surprised with an extraordinary performance.

The 33-year-old pashaBiceps announced his retirement from competitive sports in 2019, ending his legendary career as a Counter-Strike player that lasted more than 15 years. The Polish player is one of the most popular professionals in the history of CS:GO. He made a name for himself as part of Virtus.Pro, where he played from 2013 to 2018.

From streamer to MMA fighter

In the five years he played for the organization, he managed to win ESL ESEA Pro League Invitational, ESL Major Series One Katowice in 2014 and ELEAGUE Season 1. PashaBiceps was widely known in the CS:GO community and also often contributed to charity. After retiring in 2020, he joined Team Liquid as a streamer.

After his pro career ended, he also had plans for after CSGO: last year, pashaBiceps announced that he would focus on MMA in the future after signing a HIGH League contract. As expected, the pro was supported by the CS:GO community in his decision and there were plenty of people supporting him in his first MMA fight.

Many prominent CS-pros and personalities including Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo and Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer Gustafsson showed their support for him and his debut. FalleN was the first to congratulate “Papito” on his transition from Esports pro to MMA fighter: “ALL THE WAY FROM CS RESPECT PAPITO.”

A successful start

The fight was broadcast yesterday on High League, a Polish sports entertainment show. PashaBicep’s opponent was OWCA WK aka. Michal Owczarzak, a Polish bodybuilder. As you could see, pashaBiceps put a lot of time into his training and was on a par with the more experienced OWCA WK. PashaBiceps defeated OWCA WK and won by knockout in two rounds. A hard right hand finally put pashaBiceps’ opponent off his game.

Just before that, at the official weigh-in for the fight, pashaBiceps appeared with a painted CS:GO tattoo on his torso, which made fans especially happy. Many members of the community have changed their profile pictures on Twitter to a picture of pashaBiceps. This is also true for the official CS:GO Twitter account. Fans are even demanding their own in-game graffiti spray to celebrate the ex-professional player’s victory.
