ESPORTS: Ninjas in Pyjamas enter MLBB, Apex Legends

Ninjas in Pyjamas has entered into two new esports with the signing of partnerships with Team Flash for its MLBB team and a new Apex Legends roster.

First off, NIP announced a collaboration with Singaporean MLBB team Team Flash SG, with the rebranded NIP Flash team expected to grace the MPL Singapore playoffs.

“Our Singapore team is proud to announce our partnership with legendary Swedish esports organisation, Ninjas in Pyjamas,” Team Flash said in its Facebook post. “As NIP Flash, we are ready to push the boundaries of the competitive MLBB scene and achieve incredible success.”

The current roster is composed of exp laners Yeo Wee “Diablo” Lun and Pooskie, midlaner Jan Kurt “KurtTzy” Matira, gold laner Keith Lim “Vanix” Wei Jun, and roamer Akihiro “JPL” Furusawa. The team is also composed of loaned players: Jaymark “Hadess” Lazaro from Geek Fam ID, and Bellamy “Lolsie” Yeov of RSG Singapore.

NIP has also announced its entry to the Apex Legends esports scene by signing the orgless O7 roster from Europe.

They are composed of Casper “Gnaske” Præstensgaard, Miran “Amphy” Garib, Zaine “Zaine” Kazi and their coach, Abas “Don” Adam.

NIP CEO Hicham Chahine said about their Apex Legends signing, “the time is finally right for us to get into Apex. The game and its esports scene have reached a solid, stable baseline that allows us to invest with a long-term mindset, and we found a roster that goes pretty hard. I’m thrilled to see what these guys can do under the NIP flag.”

The NIP Apex Legends team will see action in the ALGS Pro League on June 16th, after which, they will be flying to Stockholm for their media day as preparation for the Esports World Cup at the end of July.

NIP is one of the 30 teams selected for the Esports World Cup Club Support Program, which gives teams a one-time six-figure stipend if an organization is willing to enter new esports as well as additional funding each year if they drive viewership and fan engagement to the Esports World Cup.

Currently, NIP’s Tekken 8 athletes will be competing at the Esports World Cup, while having teams as well for CS2 and League of Legends which will not see action in Riyadh.
