In yesterday’s games, mousesports, Complexity, and Astralis managed to set themselves on top. The Danes in particular delivered a beautiful match, thus securing themselves their first points in Group B of ESL Pro League.
MOUZ 2-1 FNATIC
The mice managed to win their first face-off with FaZe at the start of the week. They have certainly shown some great team synergy with Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras already. But FaZe themselves had to struggle with a recent roster change, whereas fnatic boast a stable and experienced roster. So the Swedes would be mousesports’ first real test.
On Dust2, they managed to get off to a great start immediately, landing a 9-1 lead on the T side. Despite fnatic winning some rounds every now and then, the dominance of mouz was ever clear. Their newcomer, Bymas, already got up to 20 kills and a 1.46 rating to secure the 16-8 map victory. On Inferno, it felt like a déjà vu, as mouz got onto another 9-1 lead. This time, however, the Swedes finally managed to get into the game, decimating their opponents’ lead round by round. Eventually, they scraped past with a narrow 16-13 victory. This was only made possible by Freddy “KRiMZ” Johansson, who won crucial duels for his team with his 25 kills.
On the CT side of Train, fnatic finally had the chance to get a great start. They did so, posting a 10-5 scoreline at halftime. Unfortunately, their T side was inferior, which let mousesports back into the game. The mouz players took that opportunity and converted it into a 16-14 victory. Again, Bymas topped the scoreboard.

COMPLEXITY 2-0 NIP
The other Swedish team had an even worse time on the server. After Complexity had already beaten Astralis, they were now looking to get some easy 3 points against the Ninjas in Pyjamas. And they did just that, with every single player posting a positive rating. Slowly but surely, Benjamin “blameF” Bremer is establishing himself as one of the best IGLs internationally – and certainly one of the individually strongest at that. With a +25 KD difference and a 1.52 rating, he was the best player for Complexity by quite a stretch. Following a 16-7 win on Train, they got a 16-13 win on Nuke. They now share the top spot of EPL Group B with mousesports.

ASTRALIS 2-0 FAZE
If the previous match was considered decisive, this one surely was a blowout victory. The FaZe players only secured a meager 12 rounds over the course of two maps. Marcelo “coldzera” David had one of his worst days, recording just 15 kills in total. On the other side of the scoreboard, Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander comfortably sat on top of 37 kills and a 1.5 rating. After his abstinence from competition, he is now hungry and well-prepared. In the two series that he has completed so far, he was one of the best performing players on the Astralis roster. The future of the team certainly looks bright already.
Today, matches from Group A are coming up. Following those, Vitality and Spirit will duke it out for 3 points in Group B, giving the Frenchmen a chance to tie with Complexity and mouz for the top spot.
