It’s that time again and apparently corona has crept back into the events. At ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, there appears to be an increase in coronavirus and players have been warned to protect themselves.
Several people have fallen ill, which has led to teams having to wear masks again to avoid infection. YouTuber Konstantin Doroschenok has reported the incidents of illness on Telegram. However, it is not yet entirely clear which players have fallen ill, and the ESL is currently remaining silent.
Masks for the players at ESL One Kuala Lumpur
Apparently, most of the players at Tundra Esports are wearing masks again to avoid infection. So far, none of the participants have any symptoms, except for the manager of 9Pandas, Aldar “Jamba” Dzhambinov, who said he was not feeling well. He was not sure what caused the illness and has not yet been tested for the coronavirus. It is still unclear how the other participants are doing.

Nevertheless, it is possible that the coronavirus will break out again and cause problems at the events, just as it has in recent years. At the moment, however, it is not yet that far and fans can rest assured, because at the moment everything is still being played normally and there are no deviations or changes because so many players are ill.The coronavirus has caused a lot of chaos in esports before, but we can only hope that it won’t be quite as bad this time.
Viewers can watch the ESL One Kuala Lumpur matches safely from home using the event’s official livestream. The livestream offers a safe way to watch the matches in real time without the risk of infection.
