Of the 20 Riyadh Masters 2024 participants, 12 need to qualify. Fortunately for Western European teams, Gaimin Gladiators, Tundra Esports, Team Liquid, and OG received direct invitations to the tournament thanks to their EPT ranks.
This means that WEU qualifier is much easier than it would normally be. A total of eight teams compete in it and Entity have already won the upper bracket. One more team will qualify by winning the lower bracket.

Entity is a Dota 2 team full of Eastern European players. The best-known among them is No[o]ne-, who used to compete for Virtus.pro in the org’s glory days. This happened back in 2017 – 2018. In total, he won two Majors and played in the Grand Final of two more. He also finished The International in 5th – 6th place twice.
These results make No[o]ne- one of the most accomplished players in the world. But it’s been around five years since we last saw him winning important trophies and playing in playoffs of Tier 1 Dota 2 events. Riyadh Masters will be a great opportunity for him to show that he’s still a formidable player. At 26, he could potentially continue to play for another 5 – 10 years.
The other four individuals who represent Entity these days are watson, DM, Kataomi`, and Fishman. Some of them have been playing for this team since 2021. During this time, they finished 9th – 12th at The International twice. They also had two top-six results at DPC Majors.

Entity entered this qualifier as one of the favorites. The other two are Team Secret and MOUZ. One of the reasons why Entity’s result is highly relevant is that the team encountered both of these teams in the upper bracket and won.
The first match was played against JustBetter, a team whose Greek players will be familiar to older Dota 2 fans. ThuG, SkyLark, and SsaSpartan were part of the AdFinem crew who finished 2nd at The Boston Major back in 2016. This time though, they lost very quickly and then got eliminated in the lower bracket.
Entity’s next match, against MOUZ, was a bit tougher. But it still ended with a 2 – 0 score. MOUZ were a bit too greedy and their drafts ended up being ineffective. Entity beat them with Doom and Dark Willow both times.
In the upper bracket Final, Team Secret won game 1 in 73 minutes despite facing scary end-game heroes like Meepo, Leshrac, and Weaver. But in games 2 and 3, Entity doubled down on their late-game strategy and won with heroes like Slark and Troll Warlord.
