Finnish organization ENCE has made a significant roster change, removing long-time players Dycha and Hades. Their immediate replacements are former Na’Vi player Sdy and ENCE Academy player Podi.

ENCE took a massive risk by going for a full Polish lineup under the leadership of four-time Major winner Gla1ve. Despite low expectations, the team performed exceptionally well in their debut tournament, placing 5th-6th at IEM Katowice 2024. However, the team could not manage more results in the following tournaments.

Despite being the star player of ENCE’s old lineup, Dycha has not been performing up to standards, often being the lowest-rated player on the team. He has shown frustration that his team would lose games because of him. Hades, a promising AWPer from Poland, also has not been putting up the numbers he is expected to.

After his four-year tenure at ENCE, Dycha mentioned he was not happy with this iteration of ENCE and did not want to be part of the team anymore.

Roster changes seemed imminent, as the ENCE squad could barely be competitive against the top-tier teams. There were clear signs of tilt during their matches. The squad decided that sdy and Podi would be good solutions to patch the bleeding.

Sdy is an incredibly experienced and well-known player in the scene. He had stints on Team Spirit and Natus Vincere before he joined Monte to play with Woro2k. The Ukrainian made several deep runs in Major tournaments, and is a very nice teammate to have.

ENCE is taking a gamble by promoting their academy player, Podi, as the team’s primary AWPer. Podi is a 19-year-old prospect from Finland who has been dominating the server playing under ENCE Academy. He severely lacks Tier 1 experience but clearly has the potential to succeed.

The ENCE lineup is now:

  • Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander
  • Krzysztof “Goofy” Górski
  • Kacper “Kylar” Walukiewicz
  • Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev
  • Paavo “podi” Heiskanen

The team will make its roster debut in the RES European Masters 1 Fall 2024 – BLAST Premier Qualifier, where they will face off against teams such as SAW and Fnatic.
