Since the announcement of the Esports World Cup 2024 started in 2023, the Gamers8 event has grown in popularity. One of the new line-ups to be announced is the EA SPORTS FC on March 20, 2024. Today, we are going to dive into the details of the FC Pro World Championship that takes place in Europe.
Format
The tournament is formatted in a best-of-one format with nine-minute halves. In the Group Stage that starts from August 15th to 17th, sixteen players will be divided into two groups of eight.
Everyone in each group will play each other at once. The top three players from each group will move on to the playoffs, while players ranked 4th – 6th will get another chance in the Resurrection Stage. Unfortunately, players ranked 7th – 8th in the bottom in each group are eliminated.
The Resurrection Stage takes place on August 17th. It is a second chance for the six players who didn’t make it into the double-elimination bracket. They’ll play each other until two players remain and they will advance to the playoffs.
The playoffs start on August 18 with a single elimination bracket where players will compete until only one champion is left.
Prize Pool
For the prize pool, the champion will be able to receive a huge amount of money. The top players will not only be winners, but also receive a large sum of money. So, here’s the break down:

Result
Group Stage
Group A was an intense competition, with Jafonso coming out on top. While Group B saw Niclas99fc dominate. The top three from each group advanced to the next round, while this t=in the middle went to the Ressurection Stage.
Resurrection Stage
While the tournament starts with the upper bracket and the lower bracket up until qualification, each player fights until the end. But only AbuMakkah and ManuBachoore manage to survive.
Playoffs
Coming to the final stage, eight players faced off in the knockout tournament. This intense match came to an end when Jafonso won as champion after defeating Young in the grand final.
