EA Sports FC 26 is almost here, and fans around the world are waiting for kickoff. To save time on launch day, EA added preloading, which lets you download the whole game before release so it’s ready once servers open. Here’s the details on preload dates, file size, and how to do it on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
What is Preloading
Preloading means you download and install the game before release day. After it’s done, the game just waits until unlock time. This way you don’t have to sit through long downloads and can start playing as soon as early access or global release begins.

Tips Before Preloading

Make sure you have at least 60 GB of free space on your device because the game is around 52 GB and there may be additional patches that will require more space. Use a stable internet connection so you don’t waste too much time downloading the large file. Also, go ahead and enable automatic updates to your game, so the day-one patch will download automatically.
Preload times and unlock times can vary with your time zone so when the game unlocks, it may appear that it unlocks a little earlier or later in your region. If your download looks stuck, or won’t start, it may simply be that the download window has not yet officially opened. In that case, usually pausing and resuming solves the problem.
Preloading EA FC 26 is a good idea to avoid wasting time on release day. Different time zones mean different storage space, different internet speeds, and the opportunity to schedule downloads ahead of time.
