Cole Palmer just can’t help breaking records. Ever since he completed his move to Chelsea, he’s been firing on all cylinders and doesn’t seem to be letting up this season either. It seems that his EA FC rating has finally caught up to his stellar performances, with his rating expected to skyrocket from a meager 66 to 85 in the latest update. A whole 19-point leap!

Cole Palmer didn’t find much favor at Manchester City, failing to make the starting 11 on numerous occasions. His recent transfer to London side Chelsea seems to have been the best decision for his career, as the move has propelled him into superstar territory, making him one of the best young talents in football.

It’s been a long time coming, but his EA FC 25 rating is expected to receive a massive upgrade, with his player rating making a 19-point leap from 66 to 85, turning his silver card gold. This massive leap is a rarity and will see Palmer join an elite list of players who had enjoyed huge leaps in their player ratings in the past. Palmer recorded the fourth highest leap in history, with the top three comprising of: Chelsea legend Eden Hazard, Paul Pogba, and Brazilian midfielder Doka Madureira.

The news regarding Cole Palmer’s rating, as well as a bunch of other football stars, was leaked by a reputable FIFA source on X known as Donk Trading (@DonkTrading).

The leaks cover most of the high-profile players as well as teams and are often very reliable. The source is known to have a close relationship with FIFA.

Palmer’s Notable Upgrades

The leap from 66 to 85 has seen Palmer enjoy a tremendous boost in his individual stats as well, with the following breakdown highlighting each notable upgrade:

  • Pace: From 74 to 75 (+1)
  • Shooting: From 66 to 82 (+16)
  • Passing: From 62 to 83 (+21)
  • Dribbling: From 70 to 86 (+16)
  • Defending: From 46 to 50 (+4)
  • Physical: From 57 to 66 (+9)

It’s no doubt that with these upgrades Palmer will be a favorite for most starting 11s, as his base stats are very impressive and can only get better from here, judging by his solid start in the 24/25 campaign. The potential for evolutions also makes him very valuable, putting him in position to be one of the most sought-after cards when EA FC 25 eventually launches.

Palmer continues to make waves in the Premier League and is undoubtedly going to be Chelsea’s highest-rated player this season. With only two games into the Premier League season, he has already netted one goal and produced three assists, all three of those assists coming from their 6-2 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers last Sunday.
