Dreamleague Season 24 Dota 2 UPDATE: Group Stage Results, Standings & More

All dreams are at stake in the DreamLeague Season 24 Dota 2 tournament. It made the remaining days of October memorable as the premier tournament kicked off on October 27, 2024. This marks the beginning of another exciting season as it welcomed sixteen teams to the international stage once again. It set the first stage of the tournament with fire matchups and thrilling showdowns between the incredible teams. 

As of now, all teams are done battling in Group Stage 1 of DreamLeague Season 24. With this, the names for the next stage are finally complete and are ready to deliver intense performances. The remaining teams will fight to survive from November 1, 2024, until the grand finals on November 10, 2024. 

Tournament Format and Prize Distribution

Dreamleague Season 24 Dota 2 calls for challenge with their unique tournament format. It ensured a thrilling and exciting competition ahead with its round-robin group stage. This format tests the resiliency and determination of these teams to outplay their opponents in every match. For Groups Stage 2, all matches are played in best-of-three (Bo3) matches. The top two teams enter the upper bracket of the Playoffs, while the 3rd and 4th will have to climb from the lower bracket.  

The Playoffs team will play in a double-elimination bracket from November 9 to November 10, 2024. Only the Grand Final match will be in a best-of-five series to give extension to the nerve-wracking competition. The winner of this tournament will get a share of $300,000 from the massive $1,000,000 prize pool. Here is the breakdown of the prize pool between participating teams:

Group Stage 1 Standouts

Unpredictability welcomes the fans and analysts in the first stage of the DreamLeague Season 24 Dota 2. PARIVISION surprisingly topped Group A, beating the teams such as Team Liquid and Xtreme Gaming. They managed to secure the first place of the tournament with an astounding 3-4-0 record and a 10-4 game score. This result came through after the recent roster changes that occurred in the team that established their formidable lineup. Currently, Crystallis None-, DM, 9Class, and Dukalis are playing for division under Coach Astini’s leadership.  

Meanwhile, Team Liquid kept their momentum after winning the International 24 champions to finish second in Group A. The team concluded the first stage with a 3-3-1 record and a 9-5 game score that placed them behind PARIVISION. Their performance has been remarkable in the matches against Gaimin Gladiators, Xtreme Gaming, and PARIVISION. Indeed, they showed how much of a threat they are in this tournament.  

On the other hand, Group B had some of the most popular powerhouse teams in the Dota 2 community. However, Team Falcons displayed discipline on top of dominance as they led the group standing. They sat comfortably in the first spot with an impressive 5-2-0 record and a commanding 12-2 game score. Besides them, the newly formed Peruvian squad made a surprise in the tournament as they earned a second spot. Team Waska gave teams a hard time as they finished the stage with a 3-4-0 record and a 10-4 game score.

Matches will start to get tougher as these teams inch closer to their awaited grand title. They are definitely not taking any risks to make a slip and fall out of the tournament. So far, eight teams were eliminated from the sixteen competing teams after the first stage of DreamLeague Season 24. Now, it’s down to eight competing teams. Intense matches played between the sixteen teams to determine their fate in DreamLeague Season 24 Dota 2. This round will run from November 1 to November 7, 2024, to see which teams will enter the Playoffs stage.
