DOTA Summit Online 13: Americas made its debut just a few days ago, on October 21st. The competition features 10 teams and will last until November 8th. During this time, you can watch a lot of good matches played between some of the best teams in North and South America.

DOTA Summit Online 13: Americas Details

DOTA Summit Online 13: Americas has a prize pool of $100,000 and brings together the following teams:

  • 4 Zoomers
  • Quincy Crew
  • catJAMMERS
  • beastcoast
  • Thunder Predator
  • Infamous
  • Team Brasil
  • Team Zero
  • Plasma
  • Spirits Esports

Many of these names should sound familiar to you if you’re a fan of the game and watch its professional matches with regularity. But some probably aren’t. For example, Plasma, Spirits Esports, and catJAMMERS are relatively new on the scene. Although in catJAMMERS’ case, it should be said that they are actually the former CR4ZY squad playing under a new flag.

The most important teams to watch during the tournament are Quincy Crew, Team Brasil, and Infamous. Of course, everyone has a decent chance of advancing to the Playoffs, simply because 8 of the 10 teams will take part in it. But some competitors are much stronger than the rest and will probably offer you a better viewing experience.

If you regularly watch Dota 2 streamers, you should know that lukiluki is playing for Plasma.

Results So Far

During the first two competitive days of DOTA Summit Online 13: Americas, Infamous and Team Brasil showed many signs of strength and managed to win their matches against catJAMMERS and Plasma respectively. Other competitors, such as beastcoast, drew versus opponents of similar skill. In beastcoast’s case, this actually happened twice. First against Thunder Predator and then against Spirits.

Upcoming Matches

The only team we haven’t seen yet in action is Quincy Crew. The same thing happened at another recent event. When Quinn and his squad enter the arena, be prepared for a lot of good results. No doubt, there will be some draws along the way as well, but my expectation is that QC will win most of its matches during the Group Stage.
