Dota PIT Season 3: China is about to enter its second competitive week. The tournament features the strongest 8 teams in the region and so far, we’ve only seen a handful of matches. The action is set to resume on October 4th and in this article, I will take a brief look at what happened so far and what will happen next.

Dota PIT Season 3: China Week 1 Results

The first week of Dota PIT Season 3: China had only 6 matches in total, 3 in each group. The results were the following:

Group A

  • 1st place: PSG.LGD: 1 W – 0 L
  • 2nd place: Vici Gaming: 1 W – 0 L
  • 3rd place: Royal Never Give Up: 1 W – 1 L
  • 4th place: Sparking Arrow Gaming: 0 W – 2 L

Group B

  • 1st place: EHOME: 1 W – 0 L
  • 2nd place: Team Aster: 1 W – 0 L
  • 3rd place: Team MagMa: 1 W – 1 L
  • 4th place: Invictus Gaming: 0 W – 2 L

The most important matches were Vici Gaming – RNG (2 – 0), PSG.LGD – SAG (2 – 0), Aster – MagMa (2 – 0), and iG – EHOME (0 – 2). For the most part, what everyone suspected all along was proved to be correct: PSG.LGD is an amazing team even after the roster change and EHOME became a formidable team as a result of bringing in Sccc and xNova.

Week 2 Preview

Week 2 of Dota PIT Season 3: China will let us know who are the winners of each group. We know who the losers are because they already lost 2 matches out of 2. But we don’t know who will be in the second round of the Upper Bracket and who will need to start in the first. The good part is that every team that survives the Group Stage will play in the Upper Bracket of the Playoffs and receive two tournament lives. This guarantees a fair event in which we’ll get to see who’s the strongest team in China at the moment. My guess is that PSG.LGD will win the trophy but we’ll have to wait and see.

Critical Matches

The big matches that you should definitely watch during the second week of Dota PIT Season 3: China are the following: Vici Gaming – PSG.LGD and EHOME – Aster.

The first of these matches will let us know if PSG.LGD truly is stronger than Vici Gaming at this point. Recently, Ame’s new team, PSG.LGD, defeated VG with a score of 2 – 0 in a pure display of strength. If they manage to do it again, I think we’ll have a clear answer. And in principle, they should be able to do it again.

The second match will tell us how strong EHOME is, now that they signed some really incredible players. I think they’ll have a tough match against Monet, BoBoKa, and the rest of Aster’s squad, but victory should still be theirs in the end. The most likely result here is 2 -1.
