Having taken an extended hiatus from the Dota 2 scene, TNC Predator has announced that it will release the organization’s new roster on September 15. It will be a fresh start for TNC, who has not competed for a number of months now. The org will release all five of its current lineup, having come to mutual agreements after lengthy internal discussions.

The TNC roster was originally given time off in order to “recharge and realign” ahead of practicing for upcoming majors. However, after the team failed to qualify for The International 10, the org has made the decision to go their separate way. Those released will still be able to compete together as an unsigned roster, ahead of the shuffle season, which gets underway following The International 10 in October. For TNC this means a fresh start.

What the future holds for former TNC Predator players

Alternatively, they could take a break from competing, before looking for a new organization over the coming months but for most gamers, gaming is all they want. “Gabbi”, “Armel”, Jun “Bok” Kanehara, Timothy “Tims” Randrup and Marvin “Boomy” Rushton have all been let go, with their futures being up in the air as a result.

Both Bok and Boomy only started playing for TNC during the second season of the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit, meaning that they have experience of being free agents. However, Gabbi, Armel have been with the org since back in 2018, while Tims has been part of the setup since December 2016. As a result, it is a huge change for the org.

Bok has been tipped to take a break from Dota, while the likes of Armel, Gabbi and Boom could be targeted by the likes of Team Secret, Evil Geniuses, OG and Boom Esports. Speaking on the decision, TNC stated that: “It’s been quite the journey these past three to four years, especially with Tims, Armel and Gabbi. TNC has broken several barriers and overcome many obstacles during this period, and we are very grateful to have had such talented players spearheading the impressive growth of Philippine esports on a global scale.”

When will we learn more about TNC’s Dota future?

TNC will stream exclusive content and interviews with members of its organization on its Facebook page starting on September 15. Fans will learn more about the thinking behind the recent changes, as well as what the future holds for TNC in the Dota 2 division.
