With the Dota 2 Championships, widely known as The Internationals, right around the corner, Valve recently released an update for Dota 2 as a lead-up to the event. The update covers the Compendium for The International 2024 as well as a new hero called The Ringmaster. The International will run from Wednesday, 4 Sept 2024, to Sunday, 15 Sept 2024.
The International is a massive yearly event that features the best Dota teams on the planet based on performances in multiple prior events. The event, unlike most esports tournaments, takes a unique approach to the prize pool, which is partially crowdfunded through a battle pass system known as The Compendium. Through this, The International has routinely boasted some of the largest prize pools of any eSports tournament ever.
This year’s compendium has just been released and contains a number of activities and rewards that are focused on players, teams, and matches that will feature in this year’s tournament. Below is a breakdown of what this year’s update has to offer:

The newest addition to Dota 2’s hero roster is Cogliostro Kettle, also known as The Ringmaster. He’s depicted bearing a mechanical design and is always seen with a staff in his right hand that he uses to launch projectile daggers as well as a whip in his left hand.
The Ringmaster is an intelligence-based hero that utilizes ranged attacks and a handful of abilities for damage and control. His basic stats and abilities are as follows:
Strength: 23 + 2.4
Agility: 13 + 1.4
Intelligence: 25 + 3.0
