Delta Force Season 5 Brings New Operator, New Weapon, Underwater Combat, & More

fragster James Steward 9. July 2025

Delta Force has launched its 5th season, called Break, which comes with plenty of new content and gameplay improvements. From the arrival of a new operator to underwater battles and map updates, the game’s seasonal patch looks to change up the way players experience the fight. Both mobile and PC versions have received the update, with several backend fixes too.

Delta Force Season 5 Patch Notes

New Operator: Tempest

Season 5 introduces Claire Ann Byers, also known as Tempest, as the newest assault-role operator. She comes equipped with a special spinal system that reacts to nearby danger. When bullets or blasts get too close, it gives her a boost in sprint speed. Even when calm, her swimming ability is increased passively.

Her tactical gear, a drill that bursts through walls and spreads electric shock, can disable enemies through cover. She also uses a rolling gadget that lets her dodge around quickly, and if she knocks enemies down during this, her cooldown time is shortened. In Operations mode, Tempest can even bring herself back with a special energy burst once per match.

Underwater Combat

Combat isn’t just land-based anymore. With new aquatic elements, players can engage in water fights for the first time. A new Jet Ski lets two operators ride swiftly over water. Swimming is split into normal and sprinting styles, but the latter uses up stamina and oxygen faster.

Weapons can be used at the surface level, but they don’t work when submerged. Some gadgets will still function underwater. Also, bullets from above can damage targets below, but their effect becomes weaker after entering water.

In Operations, downed players move slowly underwater, while in Warfare, they’ll just float till revived. A new area, the Diving Center at Black Site, lets players upgrade their swimming-focused abilities.

New Maps and Weather Changes

Tide Prison joins the Operations mode and is set on a lonely island filled with complex jail structures. Players act as escapees with different objectives and intense firefights. For Warfare, Cyclone adds a chaotic beach landing map with random weather that affects visuals and battle flow.

New Weapons, Gear, and Display Room

Players also receive the Compound Bow, a weapon suited for quiet, long-range hits. New class gadgets and weapon attachments are added too.

A new system, called the Black Site Collection Room, has also been included. It works like a gallery where players can show off their collected items. It connects to the game’s asset system and shows the total value of fixed and stash assets on the user’s profile. Delta Force Season 5: Break brings in water-based tactics, visual upgrades, and new tools for players. Full patch notes can be found on the official site.

Delta Force Season 5 Break Release Date And Schedule

The patch launched on July 9. PC players got it at 02:00 UTC, while mobile players saw their update slightly earlier. The PC patch needs a fair bit of storage, up to 65GB on Steam. Some players might see their high-resolution packs reset, but this won’t happen again in future patches.

Bug Fixes

Due to some problems, AMD FSR 3 has been rolled back to FSR 2, which only supports upscaling for now. Also, swipe input problems on mobile and some uneven map areas have been resolved.

Delta Force Season 5: Break adds new depth with underwater combat, a unique operator, and dynamic maps. The update refreshes core gameplay while introducing meaningful systems and fixes. With more content on the horizon, it’s a solid step forward for the game.
