HoYoverse officially revealed Dan Heng’s new form in Version 3.6: Permansor Terrae. He’s a five-star unit that uses the Physical element and walks the Preservation Path. It’s the first time this combo shows up in the game, which brings something new to team comps.
Plot-wise, Dan Heng is now known as the Chrysos Heir, protector of the Earth’s Coreflame. His shift in role is an obvious deviation from his previous aggressive single-target damage form into something more defense-based. This also reflects the conclusion of the Amphoreus arc and possibly leads into a major change in the arc plot.

Release Timing and Free Unit Rumors
Permansor Terrae is expected in Phase 2 of Version 3.6. Based on usual patch timing, the banner may run from October 15 to November 4, 2025. Some leakers have said he might be the free limited five-star mentioned earlier this year, but HoYoverse hasn’t said anything official, so take that with caution.

Leaked Kit Speculation
Combat details haven’t been officially shown yet, but leaks point toward a summon-based kit. Dan Heng might be able to summon a golden dragon that takes action on its own, does Physical damage, and interacts with ally turns. His abilities could scale with DEF, giving the team shields while supporting from off-field.
His ultimate is said to hit all enemies and trigger extra actions from the dragon, letting him work well in comps built around speed or multi-hit synergy. None of this is confirmed, though, so it’s all subject to change.
Quick Breakdown
- Rarity / Role: Five-star Physical Preservation
- Combat Style: Defense-based, summon support
- Best Team Fits: Speed teams, Physical units, AoE combos
- Banner Schedule: Likely Phase 2 of 3.6
- Free Unit Status: Rumored, not confirmed
If the leaks are on point, Permansor Terrae could change how Preservation units are used. Whether free or not, Dan Heng’s new form looks made for players who want more control in high-difficulty fights.
