Change comes around. Sentinels faced significant adjustments in their roster after the departure of prominent players “TenZ” and “Sacy.” With an upcoming tournament to play, the team announced the addition of two new players to their roster. Rahul “Currydtx” Nemani and Yassin “Reduxx” Aboulalazm will join the team in lieu of the Red Bull Home Ground North America Qualifier. Now the question is, how will this Sentinels’ new roster perform?
Veterans Bow Out: TenZ and Sacy Retire
Their departure from the team greatly reshaped the lineup of Sentinels for the Valorant Champions Tour 2025. Tyson “TenZ” Ngo announced his retirement from the professional Valorant scene on September 14, 2024. A day later, Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi followed suit to end an era for Sentinels.
Their news came as a double shock for their fans and Valorant community, which put them in high regard. With this, it left a void in the team as Sacy, in particular, experience contributed greatly in their journey. Doubts and uncertainties came to the team as the community awaited Sentinels new players on the roster.
Currydtx: The Masters Madrid Champion
Pressure spikes up for Sentinels as the Red Bull Home Ground North America Qualifiers approaches. After all, they have two big shoes to fill in just weeks after the retirement news. On September 27, 2024, Sentinels announced his addition to the team through a post in X (formerly, Twitter). The team wrote,
“The next addition to our Red Bull roster has been chosen @Currydtx. Only right we play with a Masters Madrid Champion.”

Rahul “Currydtx” Nemani, commonly known as “curry,” joins the roster for the upcoming competition. His strong background in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Valorant plays a huge part in his addition to the team. The 22-year-old American player began his professional Valorant career with T1 in 2021 before playing a stint with Cloud9. In March 2024, curry subbed in for Sentinels and eventually got promoted to an active position. The fans are looking forward to seeing how his skills will blend with the remaining lineup.
Reduxx: The T2 Demon
This new generation of Valorant talent is making noise for his name. The 17-year-old, Yassin “Reduxx” Aboulalazm, enters the team on September 28, 2024. He will join Sentinels in their quest at the Red Bull Home Ground NA Qualifier. Sentinels made the announcement through a post saying,
“The Red Bull Home Ground roster is locked. The T2 demon @NotReduxx has arrived.”

His arrival sealed the lineup of Sentinels in the tournament. Moreover, the team coined him “The T2 demon” to give a nod to his impressive performances in Tier 2 competitions. Despite the young age, Reduxx is known in the Valorant scene for his aggressive playstyle and mechanical skill. From being a player on the Oxygen Esports academy team, he climbed up to the main roster that displayed his rapid growth as a pro.
Furthermore, Reduxx’s brilliant and successful 2024 tournament bids earned him praise. He secured several first-place finishes in B-Tier tournaments, including the Valorant Challengers 2024: North America Mid-Season Cup. Many are now looking forward to his performance in the team, along with curry, in the Red Bull Home Ground.
Immediate Impact: Red Bull Home Ground Performance
An extra layer of challenge unfolds for Currydtx and Reduxx upon their addition to the team. Their skills are immediately put to the test in the Red Bull Home Ground tournament. With only four days of preparation, both players showed impressive performances as newcomers against formidable teams.
Sentinels made sure to acknowledge their contribution in a social media post on September 30, 2024. They stated, “Only four days to prepare but still managed to put on a show for the fans. Big shoutout to @NotReduxx and @Currydtx for stepping up when we needed it most.

Looking Ahead
September came off a bit harshly for Sentinels with TenZ and Sacy’s departure from the team roster. However, the team proved themselves resilient as they competed in the Red Bull Home Ground NA Qualifiers with two new players. Surely, the future looks bright for the team after their stint that almost earned them a qualifier spot.
Many expect Currydtx and Reduxx additions to the Sentinels new roster will show better results. With the VCT 2025 season months away, they still have plenty of time to gel in before the tournament begins.
