Ex-Bravos pro Jhonatan “JOTA” Willian has joined MIBR, with the organization having expanded its CS:GO roster in the process. The announcement came on Monday, with the MIBR roster now being made up of three former Bravos players.

JOTA will immediately become part of MIBR’s starting lineup, with Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes still being absent, after he was involved in a car accident back in September. Academy prospect Breno “brnz4n” Poletto had been standing in for chelo, however he has had to return to his native Brazil in order to complete his final year of high school.

How JOTA made his name in CS:GO

Now aged 23, JOTA made his name in the CS:GO competing for the likes of Santos e-sports, Falkol e-sports and Keyd Stars. Having been a pro since 2018, this will be the first time competing for a top-tier team for JOTA.

In joining MIBR, JOTA will reunite with Adriano “WOOD7” Cerato and Matheus “Tuurtle” Anhaia, who joined the organization earlier in October. JOTA was widely regarded as being one of Bravos’ top talents, before the team disbanded. The Brazilian veteran averaged a rating of 1.21 this year, according to HLTV, helping Bravos in being one of South America’s top teams. They won a host of tournaments, with the biggest being the IEM Fall South America.

Will JOTA become a permanent member of the MIBR roster?

MIBR has given no indication as to how long JOTA has signed for, with it potentially just being a short-term deal while they wait for the return of chelo. Gustavo “yeL” Knittel and Bruno “shz” Martinelli remain under contract with the team too. However, the duo were benched in order to accommodate WOOD7 and Tuurtle. It has been a busy year for MIBR, who lost Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo to Team Liquid back in January, with the org having acquired the roster of BOOM Esports just a week later.

Fans will not have to wait long to see JOTA in MIBR colors, with the team due to travel to Mexico in order to compete at the ESEA Advanced North America Season 39. WOOD7, Tuurtle, JOTA, Ricardo “boltz” Prass and Raphael “exit” Lacerda will make up the MIBR roster for the event.

We are excited so see how things are going to work out for MIBR with the signing of JOTA. As soon as there has been some news about their performance in the future you are going to hear it here on fragster.
