BOROS signs for Endpoint to complete roster. Endpoint has completed its CS:GO roster following the arrival of Mohammad “BOROS” Malhas. The team was searching for a replacement for the recently departed William “mezii” Merriman, who joined Fnatic at the beginning of the month.

Endpoint has once again put confidence in your talent, with 17-year-old BOROS having made his name of late in the FACEIT Pro League (FPL). The Jordanian pro joined NASR Esports in March 2020, before being departing the org in July this year in an attempt to find a new team.

What Endpoint has said on the deal

Speaking on the signing, Endpoint head coach Ross “RossR” Rooney released the following statement: “The reality is that even if we were looking to replace Mezii one-for-one, either the player doesn’t exist or he’s not available to us.

In the same fashion as always, when we are adding someone to the roster what we look to solve for is maybe not who’s the absolute best player we could acquire right in that moment, more so who is the player that could be something special and then aim to build around that. We are very fortunate to have a group of legacy players who accommodate for anyone, selflessly.”

Despite being relatively inexperienced, Endpoint clearly holds BOROS in high regard. The teenager was their first choice, with RossR continued by stating that: “Our preference is to look for players whose propensity for risk taking is high as it’s easier to reign an aggressive player in than it is to try to get a passive one to do the opposite and BOROS falls into a pool of absurdly aggressive players which is something that excites everyone.”

Will BOROS make the step up to tier One?

BOROS’ statistics speak for themselves, with the youngster being among the best puggers on the FACEIT platform, with product manager Milos Nedelikovic having compared him to Matheiu “ZywOo” Herbaut, the Vitality star who made his name in the FPL.

It remains to be seen as to how BOROS will make the leap from tier-two to tier-one, with British organization Endpoint hoping that he follows a similar path to Shahar “flameZ” Shushan, who left for OG earlier in the year.
