BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown is the last important CS:GO event before the PGL Major. It features 16 teams, lasts for 6 days (October 12th – 17th), and has a prize pool of $162,500. Its competitive format is single-elimination. All matches are Bo3. The top 2 teams will qualify for the BLAST Premier: Fall Finals, where 6 other teams are waiting for them.

BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown Participants

The 16 teams that will compete in BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown come from all around the professional circuit: Fall Groups, direct invitations, EU Champions, Nordic Masters, etc. This truly is an all-inclusive event, but only 2 teams will get the opportunity to participate in the Fall Finals.

The complete list of teams is the following:

  • Team Liquid
  • G2 Esports
  • Complexity
  • Evil Geniuses
  • MIBR
  • OG
  • Heroic
  • pro
  • MAD Lions
  • Movistar Riders
  • Dignitas
  • Team Fiend
  • paiN Gaming
  • 9z Team
  • Lynn Vision
  • POGGERZ

BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown is actually made up of two independent competitions. Each of these two events will have a winner, which will advance to Fall Finals.

Tournament 1

This is the seeding for the first tournament of BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown:

  • Heroic – POGGERZ
  • Fiend – Dignitas
  • Complexity – MIBR
  • paiN Gaming – OG

The big favorites of this mini-tournament are Heroic and OG. In fact, it would be a huge surprise if anyone else won the race. There’s a reason why OG was placed in the 4th match while Heroic, the directly invited team, was placed in the 1st. That way, if nothing unusual happens, the two teams will meet in the Grand Final.

Tournament 2

This is the seeding for the second tournament of BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown:

  • Team Liquid – 9z
  • Riders – VP
  • EG – MAD Lions
  • Lynn Vision – G2 Esports

The favorites of this competition are Team Liquid and G2 Esports. Given G2’s current form, the winner is probably going to be Liquid.
