If the latest reports are to be believed, then Lucas “Bubzkji” Andersen could well be on the move. Leading Danish organization Astralis are believed to have put the rifler on the market, having recently left the 23-year-old out of their lineup for the ongoing PGL Stockholm Major.

The news was broken by Danish outlet Jaxon, with the timing perhaps coming as a surprise to some. Astralis are currently competing at the PGL Stockholm Major, where they have a 1-2 record to date. They next take on paiN Gaming, as they bid to qualify for the New Champions Stage quarter finals.

Why Bubzkji Was Dropped by Astralis

Bubzkji is one of the finest CS:GO riflers in Europe at this point, with the Dane having played a major role in helping Astralis qualify for the current major, via Regional Major Ranking events. However, with in-game leader Lukas “g1a1ve” Rossander having returned following the birth of his first child, Astralis showed no mercy in dropping Bubzjki.

A number of Danish org’s have made it known that they have been offered the chance to acquire Bubzkji by Astralis. It is an uncertain time for Astralis, who despite extending the contracts of g1a1ve and Andreas “Xyp9x” Hojsleth recently, still have decisions to make surrounding the futures of Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, Emil “magisk” Reif and head coach Danny “zonic” Sorensen. The trio’s deals all expire at the end of the year. However, one thing that is clear is that Astralis see no future with Bubzkji.

What Bubzkji Had to Say on Recent Events

Bubzkji, who made his name with MAD lions, joined Astralis back in July 2019. However, he has spent the majority of his time as a substitute, only standing in for the main roster on rare occasions. He made his feelings clear after being left out of the lineup for the PGL Stockholm Major, stating that:

“I am devastated to be left out, after being there to qualify. Losing out on my first major and not being able to play in front of a ‘home’ crowd hurts. But sadly there are only five spots.” Bubzkji has been in the competitive CS:GO scene since 2015, having played for the likes of ANIMALS, OPAA Gaming and Fragsters.

Having been defeated by both Copenhagen Flames and Etropiq at the Stockholm Major, Astralis recorded a 2-0 win over GODSENT in their first elimination match. However, they will have to improve significantly if they are to have a major impact on the tournament.
