CS2 Global Ranks (June 2024)

fragster Radu M. 8. June 2024

After IEM Dallas, the global ranks have changed significantly in CS2. Some teams, who were not even in the top 30, are now in the top 15. Others, who were close to the top, have been downgraded.

Here are the top five teams in CS2 at the moment and some of the reasons why they are ranked so high.

1. MOUZ

MOUZ continues to be the number one team in the world even after the IEM Dallas disaster. Prior to finishing 9th – 12th at that event, MOUZ played in three consecutive Grand Finals of S-tier tournaments and won two of them. And not only did they win twice. They did it without losing a single map in best-of-five matches.

The next important tournament for MOUZ will be the Esports World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in July. Most of the world’s best teams will compete in it. So, if they win, it will be clear that they are the strongest.

2. FaZe Clan

FaZe Clan’s decent results at IEM Dallas (5th – 6th) and ESL Pro League S19 (5th – 8th) were sufficient to maintain them in a top three position. But that is only because of their results at three other tournaments that came before them: IEM Katowice (2nd), PGL Major Copenhagen (2nd), and IEM Chengdu (1st).

3. Team Vitality

Vitality climbed one position after finishing 2nd at IEM Dallas. The Grand Final was probably painful to watch for their fans because ZywOo had one of his rare poor performances on the third map. But overall, his team should not be underestimated.

4. G2 Esports

G2 Esports achieved the seemingly impossible at IEM Dallas. NiKo and his squad had to defeat opponents like Team Falcons, MOUZ, Team Liquid, FaZe Clan, and Team Vitality to claim the title. They practically beat most of the world’s top five teams.

5. Team Spirit

After winning IEM Katowice in an extremely dominant style, Spirit no longer managed to win anything else but remained near the top at every event they competed in. At the Copenhagen Major, they finished 5th – 8th. At BetBoom Dacha Belgrade, they were 2nd. At IEM Dallas, they were 3rd – 4th.

Thanks to these results, they remain a top five team and everyone has high expectations from them. If donk and sh1ro would get a bit more support from their teammates, Spirit could easily win the upcoming Esports World Cup.
