Crimson Desert Update 1.13.00 Lets Oongka and Damiane Enter the Abyss

Pearl Abyss has released Crimson Desert update 1.13.00 across all platforms, bringing a mix of new content, customization options and bug fixes. The biggest change is that Oongka and Damiane can now enter the Abyss, giving players more flexibility when exploring one of the game’s major challenge areas. The patch also adds new outfits, expands dyeable equipment and improves several quests, systems and combat interactions.

Oongka and Damiane Gain Abyss Access

The headline feature of update 1.13.00 is expanded Abyss access. Oongka and Damiane can now enter the Abyss, which helps bring the two characters closer to Kliff in terms of available activities and open-world utility.

That is an important quality-of-life change for players who prefer switching between characters. Instead of feeling locked into one playable option for specific activities, more of Crimson Desert’s content now works across the broader cast.

Oongka also received a puzzle-related improvement. Some puzzles can now be solved with Scatter Shot, making the character more useful in situations that previously may have felt restrictive.

New Outfits and More Dyeable Gear

Customization is another major part of the patch. Update 1.13.00 adds new outfits and expands the list of equipment that can be dyed.

Several camouflage outfits that previously could not be dyed have been changed, and most main and secondary weapons can now be painted. For players who spend time refining their character’s look, this is one of the more visible improvements in the update.

Crimson Desert already puts a strong focus on presentation, so wider dye support gives players more control over how their character and gear appear in the world.

Companions and Gathering Receive Small Improvements

The patch also improves several companion and resource systems. The Iron Eagle and Phoenix have been updated so they can now equip the Seal of Valor. That gives both companions more room for progression and utility.

Resource gathering has also been adjusted. When collecting resources from a firefly colony, players can now obtain up to three fireflies. It is a small change, but one that should make repeated gathering feel slightly less slow.

Area Update 1.13.00 Change
Abyss Oongka and Damiane can now enter
Outfits New costumes added
Gear More camouflage outfits and weapons can be dyed
Companions Iron Eagle and Phoenix can equip Seal of Valor
Gathering Firefly colonies can now yield up to three fireflies
Oongka Certain puzzles can be solved with Scatter Shot

Quest Fixes Target Progression Issues

A large portion of update 1.13.00 focuses on bug fixes. Pearl Abyss addressed an issue where the auto-tracked objective could switch to another quest in certain situations. That kind of problem can be especially frustrating in a large open-world game, where quest flow and navigation are essential.

Several specific quest-related bugs were also fixed. The patch addresses problems involving quests such as “A Sack of Pepper,” “Master of Archery” and “Hand of Liberation.” In some cases, key characters or objects could disappear or progression could break depending on player actions.

The update also fixes an issue where boats briefly sank when being used, as well as a problem where Moren could disappear after initiating combat following the tracking sequence.

Utility and Combat Systems Get More Polish

There are also smaller system improvements throughout the patch. The teleportation device at the Gate of Progress can now be used without having Vision equipped. That should make travel and interaction smoother for players who regularly move between activities.

The repurchase menu has also been fixed. Previously, selling certain furniture items that were not normally sold in the furniture shop and then buying them back could cause all items in the repurchase menu to disappear.

On the combat side, Pearl Abyss adjusted Antumbra’s spear attacks so they no longer trigger from unusual positions. The Bleeding Bandits’ alchemy explosive pack was also changed so its durability decreases whenever it summons a bomb.

Update 1.13.00 Is About Access and Polish

Crimson Desert update 1.13.00 is not a massive expansion, but it is a meaningful maintenance patch with a few important content changes. Oongka and Damiane gaining access to the Abyss is the main addition, while the wider dye system and new outfits give players more cosmetic freedom.

The rest of the patch is focused on stability, quest flow and consistency. That may not sound dramatic, but for a large action-adventure game, these fixes matter. Fewer broken quest states, smoother travel options and cleaner combat interactions all make the game easier to keep playing.

For active players, update 1.13.00 is worth installing not because it changes Crimson Desert’s direction, but because it removes several rough edges while making more of the game available to more characters.
