After months of qualifying tournaments, the cast for the World Stage is finally complete. Fans are eager to see these top teams compete in the glorious and highly competitive world stage. The Stage is Set: Venues, Format, Prize Pool
The Worlds has never been bigger and more exciting. Three main stages will unfold in League of Legends Worlds 2024 to spin excitement in the competition.
Starting off with the Play-in stage, 8 of the qualified teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket from September 25-29, 2024. Moving forward into the tournament, 16 teams, including the play-in qualifiers, will fight through in the Swiss stage. This stage will take place from October 3-13, 2024, in the Riot Games Arena in Berlin, Germany, along with the play-in matches.
Meanwhile, the Adidas Arena of Paris, France, will host the quarterfinals and semifinal matches for the Knockout stage of the tournament. LoL Worlds 2024 will take a bit of a tour in Europe as the grand finals venue is set on O2 Arena in London, England. The 8 remaining teams will attempt to fulfill their championship run from October 17 to November 2, 2024.
This 2024 World Championship will distribute an astounding prize pool of $2,225,000 USD. The tournament’s winner gets to take home their $445,000, along with the title and pride.

Swiss Stage Qualifiers
Four teams from the play-in stage will join the 12 teams from China, South Korea, Europe, and North Korea that directly entered the Swiss stage. The Round 1 pairs teams against teams from different regions. It’ll be a seeded based for the succeeding rounds thus the teams’ win-loss record is crucial to keep their dreams alive. This will mainly serve as a Bo1 match, except for the elimination and advancement matches where they will use a Bo3 format.
If a team reaches 3 wins, they’ll be able to advance in the Knockout stage. However, the 3 losses will automatically eliminate the team from championship contention. Here are the current teams that have secured their spots directly in the Swiss Stage:
