LA Thieves are welcoming John to the line-up. The Los Angeles Thieves have announced that one of the best submachine gun players in Call of Duty history, John ‘John’ Perez will be part of their CDL roster. John will be playing for the LA Thieves in the first match in Stage 5. This move comes after the announcement that former LA starter TJ “TJHaLy” Haly is leaving LA Thieves in order to join the amateur organization WestR.

A Legend is coming back

It has often been said that John is one of the most talented SMG players in Call of Duty history, but nonetheless he had some serious mental and physical health issues. In a surprise move he had quietly left the scene. However throughout Black Ops Cold War, John has been waiting to make his return and to prove that he’s in better health now. So far he’s been competing with amateur squad EastR for most of the Cold War season. EastR won the Stage 3 Elite Playoffs and NA Open #3 in CDL Challengers.

The new found spirit, his success with the team as well as his years of experience, have earned him a spot in the LA Thieves’ roster. Maybe it was also helpful that John already knew some people at LA Thieves: together with Austin ‘SlasheR’ Liddicoat and head coach Jordan ‘JKap’ Kaplan, he won the World Championship.

With the second season of the CDL almost wrapped up, his chance to prove himself has finally come. John will join the roster for Stage 5 of the CDL, even though the starting line-up is not completely clear. Apparently The LA Thieves Stage 5 starting line-up is:
● Kenny
● SlasheR
● John
● Drazah
Stage 5 begins on Thursday, July 1 with the Seattle Surge Home Series.
