In October 2025, Supercell introduced a seasonal decorative item in Clash of Clans named the Festival Lantern. The decorative item was intended in honor of Diwali, the festival of lights. The item is a limited-time event item that allows players to add a festive look based on the celebration to their Home Village.
Clash of Clans Festival Lantern Design & Visual Aesthetics
The Festival Lantern is more than just a glowing item. At the center is a terra cotta clay pot with a diya (oil lamp) blazing at the center, showcasing the heart of the Diwali celebration. Surrounding the diya are petals in the shape of lotus flowers made from clay. At the base, marigolds and white flowers are included.

The ornament occupies 3×3 tiles in the Home Village space, does not alter the game, but adds a feel of festival related to the usual fantasy theme of Clash of Clans. Like other limited-time decorations, it is categorized with Special Decorations and can be taken out of storage and moved again at any time.

Cost & How to Obtain
When it was released, the Festival Lantern was priced at $2.99 USD. Some of the players reported a lower price depending on their region, like $1.45 USD, or ₹129 INR

This is dependent on tax, variations in currency, and regional pricing regulations.
To buy it, players had to:
- Open the Home Village.
- Go to the Shop.
- Check the Special Offers tab.
- Pick the Festival Lantern and finish payment.
Since it was only for a short time, the decoration might not come back once the festival ends. That makes it a rare item for collectors.
Role & Value
The Festival Lantern, like other decorations, is only cosmetic. It doesn’t give defense, offense, or extra resources. The value is in:
- Cultural tie: Made for Diwali and Indian festival traditions.
- Limited release: Only around during the event.
- Size: 3×3 makes it simple to place anywhere.
Comparison with Other Seasonal Items

Most seasonal event decorations, like the Snake Shrine or Lucky Cookies, usually unlock via a shop with event currency. Some obstacles, like the Glowy Lantern in the event, appear for free if you engage with the seasonal event. The Festival Lantern was different, as it came from a spending in-game real money shop, which qualifies in the premium category.
The Festival Lantern is a cultural-themed decoration, even with the diya in the middle and lotus petal flowers representing the Diwali spirit in Clash of Clans. The Festival Lantern was around $2.99 or the regional cost. It doesn’t change gameplay, but for players who enjoy seasonal events, it still matters to them as limited-time, seasonal items.
