Welcome to the Champion of Champions Tour 2024! The new global CS:GO esports competition that seeks to create an ecosystem of professional CS:GO across multiple tiers while providing an opportunity for emerging regional esports talent.

In collaboration with foundational and regional partners, Esports data platform GRID has recently launched the $3,400,000 CS:GO series hosted in seven regions across the Americas and Europe.

As a proud partner of the CCT, Fragster will now take a closer look at the tour’s tournament system, format, and prize pool distribution, and explain everything you need to know about the Champion of Champions Tour 2024!

Tournament format

All CCT competitions will be hosted by CCT-partnered regional tournament organizers through 2022 and 2023, with the Global Finals taking place at the beginning of 2024 in a live stadium event in Europe. The tournament format consists of three main stages — Online Series, Studio Finals, and Global Finals.

CCT format

Online Series

The tour starts with online regional series for West Europe, South Europe, Central Europe, East Europe, North Europe, South America, and North America, with each region hosting four or eight Online Series events. Find the full schedule here.

Each regional Online Series event consists of four stages:

  • Open Qualifiers — for regional teams only
  • Play-in
  • Group Stage
  • Playoffs

Teams qualified in open qualifiers will be joined by teams invited directly by regional organizers. The best teams of the regional Online Series will split the prize pool and CCT ranking points towards the regional ranking system.

Studio Finals

After four Online Series events, the best teams with the highest number of regional ranking points advance to the regional Studio LAN Final to clash with the five invited international teams. All regional LAN final events will feature a GLS group stage followed by double-elimination playoffs, where the strongest teams of each region will be determined.

Global Finals

The champion of each regional Studio Final gets a direct invite to the conclusion of the CCT — the Global Finals, which will unite all teams from all the regions. Here, the winners of the Studio Finals will be accompanied by invited three best CS:GO teams in the world. The remaining two spots will be booked for the top two teams in the additional global CCT rankings.

CCT format 3

Global rankings

Following the completion of all Online Series and Studio Finals, all teams will be ranked by points from their three best performances at Online Series and from their best Studio Final performance. This means that the better results teams have, the higher their chance to fight for the champion of champions title.

Prize pool distribution

During each Online Series events, each region battles for $25,000 or $50,000.

The Studio Finals will see each region boast a prize pool of $100,000, while the Global Final will feature $500,000 in prize money.
