Shopify Rebellion are clearly trying to stay relevant and continue to obtain excellent results in Dota 2 despite not having the same roster caliber that they had last season.
Fly, the team’s former captain, left after more than five years. Cr1t- joined Team Falcons and he is now a very happy man. His choice proved to be inspired because Falcons are on their way to winning Riyadh Masters and The International this year. As for Abed, he returned to SEA and is currently playing for Blacklist International.
Shopify Rebellion only has one superstar left: Arteezy. He is helped by BuLba, who is a very experienced coach and drafter. But the overall quality of the roster is not good enough to give Rebellion a fair chance against the likes of Falcons, Gladiators, and BetBoom.
Luckily for SR, their opponent in the last round of PGL Wallachia Season 1 will be BOOM Esports. This is definitely a team they can beat but only if they play at their maximum capacity.
BOOM won a game against Gaimin Gladiators. They also defeated Team Secret and HEROIC at this tournament. So they’re not exactly an underdog in this final round. The odds are almost even. Will Arteezy make the difference or will he disappoint? We’ll find out later today.
Do or die at #PGLWALLACHIA! ⚔

Signing Skem
Meanwhile, Shopify has an additional problem. The roster was changed just days ago. Thiolicor left the organization and was replaced by skem, a position 5 player who had a series of decent results while competing for BOOM Esports in 2022. At 24, he isn’t exactly a superstar, but he’s good enough to make a positive contribution to the team’s success.
In particular, in this upcoming match against BOOM Esports, he has the advantage of knowing a little bit about his former organization. That knowledge might come in handy during the match, although, to be fair, Pakazs, Sacred, and the rest of the BOOM roster joined in the last six months.
For Arteezy, a failure here wouldn’t be a complete disaster. But it would certainly demotivate everyone ahead of the most important part of the season. In the coming months, the Esports World Cup, DreamLeague S23, and The International will be played. These are tournaments with prize pools ranging from $1 million to $5 million and good morale is key to getting good results.
