The Call of Duty League 2021 Championship Weekend will open its doors and allow fans to attend in person!... | 9. July 2021

The Call of Duty League 2021 Championship Weekend will open its doors and allow fans to attend in person! At long last! The Galen Center in Los Angeles will host eight of the very best CDL teams, all of which will compete for a whopping $1.2 million!

“Broadcasting live from the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California, don’t miss your chance to see all the season-long rivalries come to a head with $1.2 million up for grabs for first place and the glory of lifting the Championship trophy. But glory isn’t given, it’s earned. Watch all the action unfold live and find out who wants this more,” as per the official announcement.

The event itself is scheduled to take place on August 19—22, so make sure to mark your calendars! If the recent couple of Majors are anything to go by, we should be in for one heck of a photo finish! As always, the two teams left standing will duke it out on Championship Sunday in a Best of 9 finals, a clash that is bound to entertain us all beyond measure and go down in the history books!

There’s A Lot On the Line

The fifth and final Stage V Major has already begun and, needless to say, there’s quite a lot on the line! The standings aren’t exactly set in stone, but we already know who’s good and, by proxy, who’s favored to end up in the playoffs. We’re elated that fans will finally be able to attend a full-fledged Call of Duty LAN event and cheer for their favorites on the biggest of stages! The COVID-19 pandemic definitely threw a wrench in everyone’s plans, so it’s nice to see things revert back to normal — at least for a little while!

Will Atlanta FaZe once again steamroll through all opposition, or will someone finally step forth and challenge them in ways we haven’t seen in quite a while? It’s still too early predict anything with confidence, but it’s fair to say that they’re heavily favored (to put it mildly), and have earned our benefit of the doubt by playing some truly mind-blowing Call of Duty throughout the year.

As always, you’ll be able to catch all the action on the official Call of Duty League YouTube channel, so make sure to subscribe if you haven’t already!
