North American esports organization 100 Thieves has promoted Joseph “JungleJuiceLoL” Jang to VP of Esports.
Jang announced it on social media, saying he will continue his involvement with 100 Thieves’ League of Legends LCS team while the organization plans to expand its footprint in gaming and esports.
Esports Insider reported that Jang joined 100 Thieves at the end of 2017 as the Academy Director and has held various roles focused on the League of Legends division, including head analyst, strategic coach, and head of strategy and analytics. For the past two years, he has served as the General Manager of 100 Thieves.
Reflecting on his new role, Jang expressed confidence in tackling new challenges, attributing his readiness to working closely with top industry professionals across different business verticals.
“I’ve been fortunate enough to work closely among some of the best in the industry across different verticals in the business and I feel more ready than ever to tackle new and ongoing challenges in the industry,” Jang said on a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Earlier this year, 100 Thieves experienced a leadership shift. Founding executive and current President and COO John Robinson transitioned to an advisory role, with Chief Financial Officer Jason Ton stepping up as the new Chief Business Officer. Additionally, Jacob Toft-Andersen was promoted to President for Esports, and Julie Van became the new COO .
On the commercial front, 100 Thieves has been active in 2024, announcing a partnership with Oakley as its exclusive eyewear partner and collaborating with Adidas Original on a merchandise collection . Despite facing structural changes, including layoffs and the spin-off of its game development studio and energy drink brand Juvee, 100 Thieves remains engaged in multiple esports titles, including VALORANT, League of Legends, and Call of Duty.
