BTS Pro Series Season 3: Southeast Asia is entering its Playoffs Stage. Only 8 of the initial 10 teams are left in the race and in this article I will take a close look at the favorites. But first, let’s see how the Group Stage ended.
BTS Pro Series Season 3: Southeast Asia Group Stage Results
The Group Stage of BTS Pro Series Season 3: Southeast Asia had 4 teams that managed to lose between 0 and 2 matches. Everybody else did poorly. Especially Fnatic, which finished last. These are the overall results:
- 1st place: Among Us: 17 W – 1 L (in games)
- 2nd place: BOOM Esports: 13 W – 5 L
- 3rd place: TNC Predator: 13 W – 5 L
- 4th place: Motivate.Trust Gaming: 12 W – 6 L
- 5th place: Neon Esports: 10 W – 8 L
- 6th place: NEW Esports: 8 W – 10 L
- 7th place: 496 Gaming: 7 W – 11 L
- 8th place: 032: 5 W – 13 L
- 9th place: Execration: 3 W – 15 L
- 10 place: Fnatic 2 W – 16 L
Here we can observe 3 things:
Fnatic messed up completely. This was caused by the big roster changes they made prior to the tournament and then during it. These changes led them to complete ruin, at least in the short run.
032 qualified for the Playoffs with a record of 0 wins, 5 draws, and 4 losses. That’s absolutely ridiculous.
Among Us, a team that was put together right before BTS Pro Series Season 3: Southeast Asia began, has dominated the tournament getting 8 victories, 1 draw and 0 losses. And it’s not exactly a big surprise. Just look at their players: Jabz, Kuku, Abed, 23savage. All of these 4 competitors are world-class.
Playoffs Stage
The Playoffs Stage of BTS Pro Series Season 3: Southeast Asia has the top 4 teams in the Upper Bracket and the next 4 teams in the Lower Bracket. Almost for sure, we’ll see Among Us in the Grand Final. If they play the same way they did in the Group Stage, this team is unbeatable at this level.
Two other big teams to watch are BOOM Esports and TNC Predator. One of them will likely join Among Us in the Grand Final.
The first 4 matches of this stage will be the following:
Among Us versus Motivate.Trust
This match heavily favors Among Us. I expect a 2 – 0 result.
BOOM Esports versus TNC Predator
This will be the most disputed match of these 4. Any of these 2 teams could win. I personally favor BOOM based on recent results, but it could easily go in TNC’s favor.
Neon Esports versus 032
Neon is the clear favorite. If they don’t win 2 – 0, then they should at least win 2 – 1.
NEW Esports versus 496 Gaming
Based on what happened in the Group Stage of BTS Pro Series Season 3: Southeast Asia, NEW Esports should win this match.
