The reigning Mobile Legends: Bang Bang world champions have secured a partnership with another well-known esports brand from the Middle East.

AP Bren announced they will be partnering with Team Falcons for an esports partnership that goes beyond the 2024 Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia.

“It’s basically a partnership to strengthen our MLBB Team’s push for this year’s major tournaments – not only EWC, but for all upcoming major tournaments and initiatives,” AP Bren Director Jab Escutin confirmed to reporters in an email.

Escutin revealed that it was Falcons who initially approached the Hive, and that both teams had common grounds for the communities they serve. AP Bren is a team based in the Philippines – currently the strongest region for MLBB globally, while Team Falcons had also immersed itself in MLBB through MPL MENA.

Team Falcons also currently fields or has fielded teams in Fortnite, Call of Duty, PUBG, PUBG Mobile, and Rocket League, while AP Bren currently fields an MLBB team. It’s previous iteration, Bren Esports, fielded teams in CSGO, Arena of Valor, Hearthstone, VALORANT and Call of Duty: Mobile (via The Nationals).

“It’s always nice to get support from a major Esports Team like Team Falcons,” Escutin adds. “Their support will further enhance our team’s development and provide us a different perspective of how esports teams are run in a different region.”

Escutin also confirms that AP Bren will be providing support to Team Falcons “through the various initiatives we have planned in the upcoming months.” He says they will discuss these specific initiatives after the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia.

“It definitely shows that the world is already understanding the talent and skills our Filipino athletes have in Esports. This partnership goes beyond EWC as we plan to execute different initiatives through this partnership,” Escutin added.

Currently, Team Falcons is at 3rd place in the ongoing regular season of MPL MENA, while AP Bren will begin its defense of its MPL Championship as the first-seeded team in the MPL Philippines Season 13 playoffs from May 22-26.
