On the second day of Brazy Party, Astralis, 9INE, and Cloud9 confirmed their strength and won their best-of-three matches against their lower-ranked opponents.
This A-tier tournament is proving to be an excellent opportunity for some of the teams that missed the Paris Major to hone their skills and prepare for the Summer LAN events.
Group C results
In group C of Brazy Party, Astralis had no problems in the opening match against GamerLegion. The battle ended after just two maps, which were won by the Danes with a huge lead: 16-8 on Ancient and 16-8 on Vertigo.
As we’ve gotten used to, Benjamin “blameF” Bremer and Nicolai “device” Reedtz were the strongest Astralis players, ending the match with more than 40 kills and a rating 2.0 of more than 1.40.
GamerLegion are currently ranked 27th, so this easy victory against them seems to suggest that the team’s recent decision to send Andreas “Xyp9x” Hojsleth to the Academy team and promote Alexander “Altekz” Givskov in his place was a good one.
It remains to be seen what Astralis can do for the rest of the tournament. At this competitive level, anything less than a top four would prove that something is still not working in their strategy.
YES! We're off to a great start in Brazy Party 2023 as we took down @GamerLegion convincingly 2-0!

In the other match of group C, ENCE were defeated by SAW, which was a bit surprising given ENCE’s result in the RMRs for the Paris Major. This is a team with a lot of great achievements and a future participant at the Major. To see them getting defeated by a rank 36 team is very strange.
The match started well for ENCE, who won on Vertigo with a score of 16-8. But on the next two maps, they completely lost focus. First they were defeated on Nuke (6-16) and then, after winning 11 rounds in the first half of Anubis, they lost in overtime (16-19).
Group D results
In group D, both Cloud9 and 9INE won their initial matches but not without difficulties. C9 struggled a lot against Sprout and barely won the battle after more than 100 rounds: 19-17 on Anubis, 16-19 on Overpass, and 16-14 on Ancient. The best player on the server was Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov.

For 9INE, things were significantly easier but they still needed to make a comeback on the second map after they lost the first half (6-9). The final scores were 16-9 on Overpass and 16-11 on Vertigo.
