Developer Bloober Team has announced that it is working on a solution for the ongoing issues with the Silent Hill 2 remake on PlayStation 5 Pro.
The company shared this information with Eurogamer. “We are working with the publisher on a solution and will share more details as soon as we have them.” It is unclear what exactly this solution entails, but it seems likely that it will involve a new patch.
The remake of Silent Hill 2 was released last year, but PlayStation 5 Pro owners encountered various technical issues in the form of graphical glitches. These appear to be mainly caused by the combination with the PS5 Pro’s PSSR upscaling technology. A patch was released a few weeks after release, but it did not resolve most of the issues. Since then, PS5 Pro owners have been waiting for a solution.
“Silent Hill 2 is an atmospheric and, above all, faithful remake that puts the fantastic story of the 2001 classic in a modern, more accessible package.” Simon was also enthusiastic and gave it a 91 in the review: “Practically the only downside to the Silent Hill 2 remake is that the story is already familiar. In every other respect, Bloober Team has done something fantastic.”
