Blizzard rolled out the latest Overwatch 2 survey in September 2025, it featuring a wide collection of concept skins across the hero roster. These surveys are part of Blizzard way to test cosmetic ideas with players before choosing which one to bring into the game. The designs are official concepts, but that not mean release is certain, and most of them usually go through revisions if they move forward.

- Futuristic Hospital – Mercy, Ana, Widowmaker, Sigma
- Fall Fashion – Sombra, Zenyatta, Venture, Mercy
- Snow Sports – Kiriko, Sojourn, Orisa, Cassidy
- Ghostly Bride – D.Va, Baptiste, Mei, Ashe
- Holographic Gothic – Ashe, Reaper, Symmetra, Hazard
The range going from playful, nostalgic styles like Retro Cute to darker themes such as Ghostly Bride and Holographic Gothic. It showing Blizzard interest to cover both fun and more serious looks.
Release Timeline and Likelihood
From past surveys it’s seen that it usually take around ten months for chosen skins appear in game, sometimes in seasonal events, shop rotations or battle pass. Even so, not all concepts are picked, and some change heavily before launch. Example, earlier surveys had themes skipped completely, while others got redesigned to better fit Overwatch 2 tone or monetization plan.
Community Response
First reactions in forums and social media are strongly positive. Holographic Gothic is praised for futuristic gothic vibe, while Retro Cute described as playful and refreshing. Monster School compared to Monster High and liked for humor and style. Mercy Futuristic Hospital design and Reinhardt Fairy Tale Warrior look also pointed as standout ones.
