BLAST Premier 2022: Fall Groups is about to enter the semifinals phase of the play-in stage. Three matches will be played and the winners will then face the winners of the three groups: Astralis, Natus Vincere, and Heroic.

All three matches will be exciting to watch but the two that are likely to be the best are Team Vitality vs. G2 Esports and Team Liquid vs. Ninjas in Pyjamas. FaZe Clan vs. OG will be fun for FaZe fans. But we already know that the odds are heavily in their favor, so nobody will be surprised in the end.

Vitality vs. G2

This should be a very close match. Both teams have had a good performance recently, even though they didn’t win every battle. In the case of G2, Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov is starting to perform at his full strength, and in the match against BIG he finally got his first ace in the pistol round. Overall, his rating 2.0 for the match was 1.73.

Vitality will be hard to beat in this match. The former Astralis players, Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen and Emil “Magisk” Reif, are playing better and better, even surpassing Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut from time to time. The team looks really strong and Lotan “Spinx” Giladi has already demonstrated that he can play well at this level.

The match could be won by either team and it will likely require three maps to conclude.

Liquid vs. NiP

This will probably be another tough battle but the odds favor Liquid. NiP struggled to win their last match against Evil Geniuses, and EG are nowhere near Liquid’s level.

The only two things that should give Liquid fans reasons to worry are the team’s latest defeat against Na’Vi (4-16) and the fact that Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski is not playing as well as he should be. Usually, he’s one of the best players on his team. But in the last three matches, he was one of the weakest.

FaZe vs. OG

This should be a one-sided match that ends after just two maps. OG, despite their dominant victory against Complexity in the quarterfinals, do not have the firepower and leadership required to beat the number two team in the world.

In the last nine matches played by FaZe, only Heroic managed to beat them. And the format was best-of-won. The last time they encountered each other, OG and FaZe played a very interesting match. OG got close to winning the second map, but Finn “karrigan” Andersen’s team eventually won with a score of 2-0. The same is likely to happen here.
