The BLAST Open Porto 2026 playoffs begin on September 4, bringing six of Counter-Strike 2’s strongest teams to the Super Bock Arena for the final three days of competition.
Spirit and MOUZ earned direct semifinal places by winning their respective groups, while Falcons, G2, FURIA and Vitality must begin in the quarterfinals. Only five matches remain before the champion is crowned on September 6.
Falcons and G2 open the arena playoffs
The first quarterfinal features Falcons against G2 at 4:00 PM CEST.
There is already recent history between the organizations. Falcons and G2 previously met during the IEM Cologne Major, and their Porto encounter provides another opportunity for NiKo and huNter- to face each other on opposite sides of the server.
Falcons reached the playoffs after defeating Legacy 2-1 during the group stage. m0NESY was the standout performer in that series, while the team finally broke a short losing streak against Legacy.
G2 had a more difficult route after losing 0-2 against Spirit. They recovered through the lower bracket to claim one of the final available playoff positions.
- Falcons vs G2 — September 4, 4:00 PM CEST
- FURIA vs Vitality — September 4, 7:30 PM CEST
- Spirit vs Falcons/G2 winner — September 5, 4:00 PM CEST
- MOUZ vs FURIA/Vitality winner — September 5, 7:30 PM CEST
The quarterfinal format leaves no room for recovery. Unlike the group stage, one defeat now means immediate elimination.
FURIA face Vitality in second quarterfinal
The second match of the day brings FURIA and Vitality together.
FURIA secured their playoff position after KSCERATO produced a spectacular performance against M80, but their final group match against Spirit exposed the gap to the tournament’s strongest-performing roster. Spirit swept FURIA 2-0, including a dominant 13-5 victory on Cache.
Vitality arrive through an even more turbulent route.
The team opened Porto with a shock 0-2 defeat against Inner Circle while jL was still adapting to his stand-in role for mezii. Vitality eventually recovered through the lower bracket, including a dramatic series against Legacy in which they overturned a 2-10 deficit on Nuke.
FURIA against Vitality may be the most difficult quarterfinal to predict because both teams have already shown extremely high peaks and significant inconsistency during the same event.
| Playoff team | Entry point |
|---|---|
| Spirit | Semifinal |
| MOUZ | Semifinal |
| Falcons | Quarterfinal |
| G2 | Quarterfinal |
| FURIA | Quarterfinal |
| Vitality | Quarterfinal |
Spirit wait after flawless group stage
Spirit enter the playoffs in arguably the strongest position.
They progressed through the group stage without losing a map and secured the direct semifinal berth by defeating FURIA. Their earlier victory over G2 was similarly convincing.
donk has once again been central to that run. Spirit have also received consistent support from sh1ro and tN1R, making the team much harder to contain by targeting one individual star.
Their semifinal opponent will be either Falcons or G2.
That creates the possibility of another meeting between Spirit and Falcons after their recent clashes at major international events.
MOUZ take the other direct semifinal spot
MOUZ won Group B and therefore avoid the opening elimination round as well.
They will face the winner of FURIA versus Vitality on September 5. The direct semifinal position gives MOUZ and Spirit a meaningful advantage: both teams have additional preparation time and need only two victories to claim the tournament title.
- Spirit and MOUZ need two series wins for the championship
- Quarterfinal teams must win three consecutive knockout matches
- Semifinals remain best-of-three series
- The September 6 Grand Final will be played as a best-of-five
The structure places particular importance on map depth. Any team reaching the Grand Final will need to prepare for a longer series after surviving an already demanding knockout bracket.
Porto title decided on September 6
The playoffs run from September 4 through September 6.
Friday determines the semifinal field, Saturday decides the two finalists, and Sunday’s best-of-five crowns the BLAST Open Porto champion.
The event began with 16 teams on August 26. Only six remain after the Copenhagen group stage, underlining how quickly the field has narrowed before the arena matches in Portugal.
Assessment
Spirit enter the playoffs with the clearest claim to favorite status. Their flawless group-stage record, current individual form and direct semifinal position give them both momentum and a shorter route to the trophy.
MOUZ have the same structural advantage but will need to prove they can convert it against either FURIA or Vitality.
The quarterfinal teams face a much harsher equation. Falcons and G2 immediately lose one major contender, while FURIA and Vitality meet in a matchup where both sides have already demonstrated they can either dominate or collapse within the same tournament.
With only five series remaining, Porto now moves from group-stage experimentation to pure elimination Counter-Strike. Every map from September 4 onward directly determines who remains in contention for the BLAST Open Porto 2026 title.
