So far, check everything you need to know about BLAST Bounty Winter 2026 Closed Qualifier here including standings, format, and more!
Tournament Format and Structure
Unlike other esports tournaments, BLAST Bounty Winter 2026 Closed Qualifier uses a distinct format for this year’s season. All 32 participating teams enter a single-elimination bracket, divided into two stages which are online qualifiers and LAN finals. The Closed Qualifiers runs from January 13 to January 18, 2026 on European servers.
It featured an innovative draft system where the 16 lowest-seeded teams choose their opponents from the top seeds. Following the initial round, they are reseeded based on their previous opponent selections. Once more, the lower-seeded teams get to choose their rivals for the Round of 16.
All qualifier matches will be played as best-of-three series among the teams. Only those in the top eight ranks will move forward to the LAN Finals in Malta on January 22 to January 25, 2026. It will be held at the BLAST Arena Studios, Attard, retaining the single-elimination format for playoffs and Bo3 matches in the following stages.
Meanwhile, it will be a best-of-five series for the grand final to determine the ultimate champion. The current map pool features Ancient, Anubis (replaced Train), Dust2, Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, and Overpass.
Prize Pool and Bounty System
Instead of distributing prizes through placement rewards, BLAST Bounty will implement a unique bounty system. They are splitting the total prize pool of $1.15 million between Team Share ($500,000) and Club Share ($650,000). The teams earn rewards by claiming bounties from opponents they defeat.
Each victory secures them 50% of the opponent’s bounty while the remaining 50% rolls over to increase the winning team’s value. This new format helps create escalating stakes as the tournament progresses. This season’s prize distribution will vary as follows:
| Placement | Prize |
| 1st to 4th Finishers | $100,000 ($60,000 Team Share + $40,000 Club Share) |
| 5th to 8th Finishers | $70,000 ($30,000 Team Share + $40,000 Club Share) |
| 9th to 12th Finishers | $46,250 ($15,000 Team Share + $26,250 Club Share) |
| 13th to 16thFinishers | $41,250 ($15,000 Team Share+ $26,250 Club Share) |
| 17th to 32nd Finishers | $7,500 Club Share |
