Black Ops 7 Season 3 Reloaded Adds Totenreich, RoboCop and Major Meta Changes

fragster Jennifer Davis 30. April 2026

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 3 Reloaded has arrived with one of the most packed mid-season updates of the year. Instead of focusing on just one mode, the patch spreads new content across Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame and Warzone, giving nearly every part of the current Call of Duty ecosystem something new to chase.

The update introduces three Multiplayer maps, new and returning modes, the long-awaited Zombies map Totenreich, the RoboCop Event Pass, new weapons, fresh attachments, additional Prestige Master challenges and a major look ahead at upcoming RICOCHET Anti-Cheat enforcement.

For casual players, it is a content-heavy refresh. For competitive and meta-focused players, it is a patch that could change loadouts, weapon priorities and the way certain playlists feel over the final stretch of Season 3.

Season 3 Reloaded Is a Full Call of Duty Refresh

Season 3 Reloaded launched on April 30 and brings new content to Black Ops 7 and Warzone at the same time. That matters because this is not a simple Multiplayer patch with a few balance tweaks. The update is designed as a broad refresh for the entire live-service structure around Black Ops 7.

Multiplayer receives new maps and modes, Zombies gets a major round-based addition, Endgame continues its free-to-play window, and Warzone adds limited-time modes that lean heavily into fast movement, vehicles and party-style gameplay.

The result is a mid-season update that feels closer to a mini-season than a minor patch. Players who only care about Ranked Play will mostly focus on the weapon tuning. Zombies fans will immediately head for Totenreich. Warzone players, meanwhile, are looking at Hot Pursuit, Prop Hunt Royale and a shifting weapon meta.

Totenreich Becomes the Big Zombies Highlight

The biggest addition for Zombies players is Totenreich, a new round-based map set in Eidskallen, a remote Norse fishing village on a harsh coastal island. The story continues after the events of Paradox Junction, with the crew thrown into another dark location tied to ancient myths, Group 935 and the wider Black Ops Zombies timeline.

The main quest is available with the launch of Season 3 Reloaded, giving players the usual race to solve objectives, uncover secrets and unlock exclusive rewards before Directed Mode arrives later. Players who complete the quest early can earn a unique Calling Card variant, making the first days after release especially important for dedicated Zombies teams.

Totenreich also adds the Jotunn Star, a new melee-based Wonder Weapon built around sweeping attacks, soul-stealing mechanics and fire-based power. It fits the Norse-inspired tone of the map and gives the mode another signature item for high-round strategies and Easter egg runs.

Zombies Gets New Tools, Enemies and Challenges

Totenreich is not just a new location. The Zombies side of the update also adds new gameplay layers through fresh enemies, a new trap, additional augments and a new Field Upgrade.

The Flammenfalle Trap introduces another environmental tool for crowd control, while Wild Fire gives players a fire-based Field Upgrade with Major and Minor Augments built around burning, pulsing damage, movement and area denial. That makes the update especially interesting for players who like elemental builds and high-risk close-range strategies.

The new Prestige Master challenges also give Zombies players more long-term goals. Some of the toughest tasks are clearly aimed at high-skill grinders, including challenges tied to completing the Totenreich main quest with hard relics active or pushing main quests deep into late rounds.

Multiplayer Adds Onsen, Summit and Hacienda

Multiplayer gets three important map additions in Season 3 Reloaded. Onsen is a new small map built for both 6v6 and 2v2 action, set around a remote hot spring in Yamanashi. It should immediately appeal to players who prefer compact, fast engagements and quick rotations.

Summit also returns, bringing back one of the most recognizable maps from the original Black Ops era. Its classic three-lane structure, central control room and risky cliffside routes should feel familiar to long-time fans, while still fitting the faster movement and modern pacing of Black Ops 7.

Hacienda completes the map trio as a returning 6v6 map centered around a fortified estate. Compared with Onsen, it should offer more traditional mid-sized fights, with mansion interiors, exterior lanes and a structure that rewards map control.

Freerun, Heat Wave Havoc and Freeze Tag Change the Pace

Season 3 Reloaded also introduces new and returning modes that push Multiplayer away from standard kill-focused playlists.

Freerun arrives at launch and turns movement into the main challenge. Players race through a ten-zone obstacle course filled with wall jumps, slides, spinning platforms, target shooting, grappling hooks and wingsuit sections. It is built for players who enjoy mastering mechanics outside normal match pressure and should become a useful showcase for advanced movement.

Heat Wave Havoc arrives in-season and rewards players for support actions, not just eliminations. Revealing enemies, scrambling radars, helping teammates and playing objectives all contribute to Heat Levels that unlock stronger combat bonuses.

Freeze Tag brings a more chaotic party-mode structure. Teams freeze enemies, rescue teammates and try to lock down the entire opposing side for a major score swing. With proximity chat enabled, it could quickly become one of the louder and more social modes of the season.

RoboCop Takes Over the Mid-Season Event Pass

The headline crossover for Season 3 Reloaded is RoboCop. The collaboration arrives through a dedicated Event Pass with free and premium reward tracks, giving players themed Operator skins, blueprints and other cosmetics inspired by the film franchise.

This fits Call of Duty’s ongoing crossover strategy. Recent seasons have leaned heavily into recognizable pop-culture moments, and RoboCop feels like a natural match for a game built around high-tech weapons, military fantasy and over-the-top action.

The RoboCop event also ties into the new Siren Special Weapon, which can be unlocked through the event. The Siren is a charge-based energy weapon that fires a slow, high-damage projectile capable of passing through enemies, with charge time increasing projectile speed.

Siren, Katana and New Attachments Expand Loadout Options

Season 3 Reloaded adds two new weapons: the Siren and the Katana. The Siren gives players a new Special Weapon with high burst potential, while the Katana offers a melee option focused on high damage, moderate reach and timed heavy attacks.

COD Season03 BackOps7 newweapon

New attachments also arrive through Weekly Challenges. The MK.78 Lightframe PDW Conversion pushes a weapon toward more mobile and aggressive play, while the Warden 308 Badlands Pistol Kit converts the marksman rifle into a heavy pistol-style setup with close-range power and akimbo support.

The Carbon 57 Fabricator Mag is especially interesting because it can replenish ammunition after firing stops. That could make the SMG more flexible in longer engagements, especially for players who like aggressive routes but still want better uptime between fights.

Weapon Tuning Could Shift the Meta

The balance changes are one of the most important parts of the Season 3 Reloaded patch. The X9 Maverick Javelin Assembly receives improvements to projectile speed, gravity behavior and multi-target effectiveness, making the attachment closer to its intended design.

The 1911 pistol is being pulled back after becoming too reliable at extended ranges. Its damage profile remains strong, but its effective range has been reduced to bring it closer to other sidearms and open space for the upcoming Warden 308 pistol conversion.

The Carbon 57 also gets a notable rework. Its Prestige magazine now supports mid-range builds more clearly, while the new Fabricator Mag opens a separate route for aggressive players. This should create more meaningful build choices instead of one dominant setup.

Warzone players are also watching the meta closely. Recent coverage of the Warzone patch highlights buffs for weapons such as the MPC-25 and Sturmwolf 45, while the MK35 ISR and Razor 9mm are being toned down. That combination suggests the Season 3 Reloaded meta may move away from some of the most dominant pre-patch picks and toward a broader weapon pool.

Warzone Adds Hot Pursuit and Prop Hunt Royale

Warzone is also getting a major gameplay shake-up. Hot Pursuit takes over the Black Ops Royale playlist for Season 3 Reloaded, temporarily moving standard Black Ops Royale out of rotation while the new limited-time mode is active.

Hot Pursuit is built around vehicle-focused gameplay on Avalon, bringing back the high-speed chase feeling inspired by Call of Duty’s older Blackout era. It is designed to be chaotic, fast and less predictable than standard Battle Royale.

Prop Hunt Royale also arrives on Rebirth Island as a 24v24 party mode. Instead of playing a traditional Resurgence match, players use props to hide, trick opponents and survive in a much sillier version of Warzone’s usual combat loop.

Battle Royale Casual is also receiving a map rotation between Avalon and Verdansk, which should give casual players more variety without forcing them into the more demanding standard playlists.

Endgame Remains Free and Gets Operation Broken Mirror

Endgame continues to be available as a free-to-play mode for a limited time, giving more players access to Black Ops 7’s cooperative PvE structure. This is a smart move from Activision and Treyarch, because Endgame has become one of the more distinctive parts of Black Ops 7’s live-service identity.

Season 3 Reloaded adds Act II: Operation Broken Mirror, a new set of objectives focused on infiltrating the Guild network and developing a virus capable of breaking its mirror C-Link system. The operation brings new rewards, a Virus Injection Glitch, a Glitch Boss and new cosmetic unlocks.

There is also a new Mega Abomination activity in Nightmare Zones. Once the Guild Strike boss has been defeated, players can face the Mega Abomination for a guaranteed Exotic Weapon Case drop, making it one of the more rewarding PvE challenges in the update.

RICOCHET Anti-Cheat Changes Are Coming in Season 4

One of the most important technical updates is not fully active yet, but it could have a major impact next season. The developers confirmed that Microsoft Azure Attestation will become a new security requirement for PC players in most playlists starting with Season 4.

Players will need TPM and Secure Boot enabled to remain fully compliant. Those who fail attestation will be moved into limited matchmaking and will not be able to match with compliant players or console players in affected playlists.

Nuketown 24/7 and Battle Royale Casual are currently listed as exceptions. Still, the message is clear: Call of Duty is preparing to make PC security requirements stricter in an effort to remove high-risk systems from the wider matchmaking pool.

Season 3 Reloaded Gives Every Mode a Reason to Return

Black Ops 7 Season 3 Reloaded is one of the stronger mid-season updates because it avoids feeling narrow. Multiplayer gets maps and movement-focused modes. Zombies gets a major new map and Wonder Weapon. Warzone gets limited-time chaos and meta changes. Endgame gets another reason to keep grinding.

The update also shows how Call of Duty is trying to balance nostalgia, live-service spectacle and competitive maintenance at the same time. Summit and Hacienda appeal to returning fans. RoboCop gives the season a crossover hook. Totenreich strengthens Zombies. Weapon tuning and anti-cheat changes speak directly to the more serious player base.

For Fragster readers, the real question is not whether Season 3 Reloaded has enough content. It clearly does. The bigger question is how long the new meta takes to settle, whether Totenreich becomes a fan-favorite Zombies map, and how much the upcoming Season 4 anti-cheat requirements change the PC experience.
