Birdseye has been disabled in Warzone 2

While many players loved the Birdseye Perk. The vast majority, including different famous personalities within esports, including players and streamers, hated it.

Having a perk that would automatically activate a UAV without having one was not to the liking of many players, especially those who tend to play a bit more stealthy. Because of this, the game developers, Raven Software, have decided to disable Birdseye perks in Warzone 2 until further notice.

In a post on their Twitter account, the developers announced that the Birdseye perk has been disabled in Warzone 2 due to a balance pass.

Recall that the selection of perk packs in Warzone 2 will disappear in Season 2 next February 15. From then on, players can create their perk packs. However, Birdseye, one of the most controversial perks in recent weeks, has been so strong that they have decided to remove it.

The developers noted that Birdseye would be out of the game for an undisclosed period. This meaning we will most likely not see it again soon in Warzone 2.

Raven Software, developers of the game, says:

“The Birdseye perk has been disabled in Battle Royale until further notice while we balance it for future implementation in customizable perk packs. Stay tuned.”

But what is Birdseye?

As we mentioned, if players selected the Birdseye Perk in Warzone 2, it would allow them to see the location of the enemy and the direction they are facing on the minimap. This is possible when there is an active UAV or any radar signal.

This, without a doubt, was an additional advantage for those players who used it game after game. Moreover, the qualification works whenever any player in the lobby uses a UAV, offering periodic radar signals.

Perks packs are one of the many changes in Season 2

In addition to the fully customizable perk packs, we have many other features that Raven Software is reversing in Warzone 2 Season 2. Unfortunately, many dissenters in the community have gone so far as to walk away from the game.

Because of this, the developers have slowly taken the trouble to announce changes in the new season. Some include the return of the 1v1 Gulag, the ability to open doors while shielding, changes to the game’s economy, and many more.

Birdseye was the ultimate Perk as part of the Recon perk pack but has been replaced by the Survivor perk. The latter will ping enemies that have knocked you down and allow you to be revived faster by your allies.

On the other hand, Raven Software has also revealed that the revive gun has been disabled. Since they have recently discovered some problems with it.
