Berlin International Gaming has announced Razed as the new main partner of its Counter-Strike 2 team, expanding the organisation’s commercial portfolio with a deal focused on international content, community activations and prominent jersey branding.

The Razed logo will occupy a central position on BIG’s official CS2 jersey. The agreement also extends beyond the professional roster, with Razed set to support the BIG CLUB community platform and take part in future campaigns aimed at Counter-Strike fans.

BIG and Razed describe the agreement as the foundation of a longer-term partnership, with additional projects already in development.

Razed Takes a Major Position on BIG’s CS2 Jersey

The most visible part of the partnership is Razed’s placement on the front of BIG’s Counter-Strike jersey.

Main-partner status typically provides considerably more exposure than a smaller sponsor position, particularly for an organisation competing across international CS2 tournaments, broadcasts and social media.

BIG says the cooperation will focus specifically on its Counter-Strike operation rather than functioning as a general organisation-wide sponsorship.

The partnership currently includes:

  • Prominent Razed branding on BIG’s CS2 jersey
  • International marketing campaigns
  • New content formats involving BIG players
  • Community activations aimed at Counter-Strike fans

BIG CEO Daniel Finkler said the organisation wants to use the partnership to explore new approaches to content and storytelling while highlighting more of the personalities behind its professional players.

The deal is designed to make Razed part of BIG’s wider CS2 ecosystem rather than limiting the partnership to jersey visibility.

Player Personalities Become a Major Content Focus

BIG and Razed plan to develop formats that show more of the players outside official matches.

Professional Counter-Strike content often revolves around tournament results, highlights and roster developments. The new partnership instead intends to create additional opportunities for fans to see the personalities behind the team.

Partnership area Planned focus
CS2 roster Main partnership and jersey branding
Content Player-focused international formats
Marketing Joint campaigns and activations
BIG CLUB Community support and engagement
Future projects Additional initiatives to be announced

This approach fits a wider trend across esports in which organisations increasingly use players as creators and personalities rather than treating them exclusively as competitors.

For BIG, that could be particularly valuable when tournament schedules provide fewer opportunities for the team to appear on major broadcasts. Regular player-driven content gives the organisation another way to maintain visibility between events.

BIG CLUB Is Included in the Agreement

The partnership also covers BIG CLUB, the organisation’s Counter-Strike community on FACEIT.

BIG says the platform has more than 130,000 members, making it one of the larger Counter-Strike hubs operating on FACEIT. Razed will support community-focused initiatives connected to the platform.

That could give the partnership a direct connection to amateur and everyday CS2 players instead of focusing exclusively on viewers of the professional team.

The BIG CLUB element offers several potential areas for activation:

  • Community competitions and challenges
  • Player-focused content involving professional and amateur users
  • Digital campaigns around BIG’s CS2 matches
  • Additional community projects announced during the partnership

Neither company has provided a complete calendar for these activities. BIG only confirmed that several joint projects are already being prepared and will be revealed over the coming months.

BIG Continues Building Its Commercial Network

The agreement adds another brand to BIG’s existing commercial portfolio.

The Berlin-based organisation already works with companies including die Bayerische, Philips OneBlade, Logitech G, SkinBaron, Backforce, Acer Predator, LeetDesk and PaysafeCard.

Razed’s main-partner status gives it a particularly visible position within the CS2 division.

The partnership also arrives during a period in which esports organisations continue searching for sustainable commercial models. Sponsorship remains one of the most important revenue sources for many teams because media-rights income, tournament winnings and merchandise alone rarely provide predictable funding.

At the same time, commercial agreements involving betting-related companies remain a sensitive area within esports. Organisations must balance sponsorship opportunities with tournament regulations, regional advertising rules and the expectations of their communities.

Assessment

Razed becoming BIG’s main CS2 partner is a significant commercial agreement for the German organisation. The most immediate change will be the new jersey branding, but the planned content and BIG CLUB initiatives could ultimately create more lasting visibility.

The community component is particularly important. BIG already operates a large Counter-Strike hub, giving the partnership a platform that extends beyond the professional roster and tournament broadcasts.

Its long-term value will depend on execution. Player-focused content and community campaigns need to offer more than conventional sponsor exposure if they are expected to strengthen engagement.

For BIG, the agreement provides another commercial partner dedicated specifically to its flagship Counter-Strike operation. For Razed, it delivers access to an established German esports brand and a substantial CS2 community. The next step will be seeing what the two companies produce beyond the logo on the jersey.
