The League of Legends Summer Splits across all four major regions are over, which means it’s time to honor the best performing players.

LCK awards

The 2022 LCK season could be described as top-heavy and one-sided. That was the case during T1’s legendary 18-0 Spring Split showing, followed up by Gen G’s equally as amazing Summer Split. Gen G finished with a 17-1 record, with their only loss coming at the hands of T1. Their dominance was in full display in the award categories as well, with Gen G bot laner Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk being the first LCK ADC crowned MVP of the Split.

The All-LCK first team was also made up of Gen G’s starting lineup, with the exception of T1 top laner Choi “Zeus” Woo-je. Mid laner Lee “VicLa” Dae-kwang also had an amazing second half of the split, with him claiming the Rookie of the Year award. He performed like the third best mid laner in the LCK as a rookie after subbing in for KT Rolster, dragging his team to the fifth seed in the playoffs after a 3-5 start. Coach of the Split was naturally awarded to Gen G coach Go “Score” Dong-bin, who will have to prove himself once they match up with T1 in the playoffs.

LPL awards

It feels like it’s 2019 again, considering the meta and the familiar faces that are dominating the Rift internationally. Following the FPX exodus and after healing his injured wrist, superstar jungler Gao “Tian” Tianliang returned to his Worlds form, leading TES to the first seed in the LPL. Yu “JackeyLove” Wen-Bo falls in the same criteria, once again looking like a top three bot laner in the World, joining Tian in the LPL All-Pro First team.

The RNG mid-support duo rounds up the first team with top laner Bai “369” Jia-Hao representing the second-seeded JDG. Before getting bounced out by FPX in the first round of the 2022 LPL Summer playoffs, Team OMG was the cinderella story of the league. Led by top laner Deng “shanji” Zi-Jian, who won Rookie of the Split for his efforts, the young team made it to the eighth seed in the playoffs.

LEC awards

Unlike previous leagues, LEC has a nasty habit of announcing the regular split award winners during or after the end of playoffs, but we already suspect what it’s going to look like. Mid-laner Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer is the strongest candidate for the MVP award, considering MAD Lions missed the Spring playoffs without him, but are the best team in the league with him. However, nobody can deny the impact that coach James “Mac” MacCormack and his staff had on their performance.

The Misfits coaching team came in a close second, but considering what they had to go through this split with the roster turmoil and the org selling its LEC spot, they are the winners in the heart of the fans.

Although the LEC All-Pro teams are not yet announced, it’s not hard to imagine that G2 and MAD Lions would make up most of the first two finishers. Bot laner William “UNF0RGIVEN” Nieminen has had a great split and helped Nisqy push MAD Lions to the top. Meanwhile, G2’s Sergen “BrokenBlade” Çelik is the most consistent and versatile top laner in Europe right now, with Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski and Raphaël “Targamas” Crabbé being the most formidable mid-support duo in the LEC.
